Front tyres worn in 800 miles.....
I replaced the front tyres on my car just after buying it because the fronts quickly turned to slicks but I wanted to change them anyway so I didn't care shelling out nearly grand for 4 PS4s.
Problem is, the pressures are correct and my "new" front tyres look like slicks. This is after less than 800 miles with mostly motorway milage at 85mph

The car has been health checked & MOT'd at Mercedes during my ownership & the tracking feels fine & it drives straight as an arrow. I'm stumped!
Anyway, any answers or experiences of this would be appreciated as I'm considering buying budget tyres for the front just until I resolve this issue and that's something I really want on the car as least time as possible.
OK, they're not slicks & maybe I exaggerated but I was honestly horrified to discover they are both illegal in such a small timeframe.
I know the second pic doesn't look like they are past the markers but both are shot and past the markers.
I'll go Demon Tweeks & do an alignment as stated and hopefully this issue is sorted.

Or that factory is too aggressive.
A brad new PS4's have about 8mm (10/32") tread depth. How much do you have?

I have kept thinking of additional factors that could have played a part besides alignment and I think I'll ask the technician at Demon Tweeks (the garage I'll use) to put the wheels on the balancer before removing the 'old' tyres. I'm not feeling any vibrations or anything unsatisfactory but I'd like to at least know that the tyres were installed correctly.
I'll keep updating with the results. This is my 2nd C63 & I thought it would be less problematic than the first but it seems to keep having issues. Anyway, all part of the process.
All sorted. Thanks everyone that said it was just this. I'll get an alignment every tyre change from now on. The car actually drives in the wet now & isn't skipping all over the place.
Glad you got it sorted and yeah, an alignment with new tires pays for itself. 👍
