I have a 2013 Mercedes c63, and I was wondering how can I find out if my car has a lsd? I did a vin decoder and it said I had transmission code version 30, not sure if that means I have a LSD, usually when I do burnouts both wheels do spin so im guessing I do? My car is not a P31.
The data sheet will have a code for 471. You can also lift the car, put in neutral and spin a tire, if the other moves in opposite direction then you have an open diff.
I just put a os giken in mine, probably overboard but we'll worth it to me, drives just amazing compared to before in a corner and slides are predictable.
agree'd that oddly, C63's lay down 2 tracks when burning out and can do a decent amount of donuts and drifting to make it seem like it has an LSD. the W211 chassis surely does not do this and may be attributed to the heavier weight and wider tires. 2 tracks are laid down but donuts and drifting is not possible with a E63 as it will only spin 1 tire.

Control is way better, I wish I upgraded earlier. Advice to anyone would be to do the finned cover and do the DSS driveshaft along with it.... Or at least collect the parts and install at once.

Where does one source the finned diff cover from? Surely something came with it from the factory. 👍
