Has anyone measured the bearing clearance of M156?
My 2012 W204 C63 has accumulated 200,000 kilometers. Recently, the engine's operation has not been very satisfactory. I am planning to rebuild the engine but I noticed that the maintenance manual suggests configuring according to the letters on the crankshaft: R, Y, G, B, but it does not provide the exact range of bearing clearance.
Has anyone rebuild engine and measured the bearing clearance of M156?

Yes, I will invite my technician friend to come along. It's just in the planning stage for now, hahaha. I'm afraid that after opening the engine, I'll find the small bearing is worn out and needs to be replaced. I saw someone post before that the crankshaft journal should be 70mm and the bearing clearance should be between 0.07mm and 0.09mm. I don't know if this data is correct.

You need absolutely the MB manual for rebuilt.
This is not a 1cyl moped engine.
Watch YT shift 2 passion first for further education if you want to make a rebuild.
Best engine (AMG) guy i know (AMG engine rebuild only) .

The crank has letters and so does the block. It's not complicated but you need to read thoroughly. The factory WIS instructions do provide clearance information. It will cost you $1000 in 1 time use hardware if you want to test and disassemble only to verify amg knows what they are doing.

cleaning/washing all , make measurements etc.
And than (sometimes) there are things no manual (WIS) shows. Everyone who ever rebuilded an engine knows this.
