I talked about this wheel design, and I honestly don't hate it as much as others, maybe or perhaps there is more wheel than rubber it might look good but then you risk pothole damage even more. These wheels look very similar to SL wheels imo https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post8748412
These wheels make it look like the 4 door GT for some reason.
At least with those wheels (design at least) you know it was from the GT black series? or was it the AMG GT Pro and I mean it does look good on both cars. To be frank, wheels are the least of your worries as they can easily be changed through aftermarket means if you don't like it, if you choose the wrong leather or wrong colour combination, it is not as difficult but not impossible. For the wrong exterior colour, I guess wrap, for the wrong interior trim I guess you can also add a skin to it but wrong leather colour.... well...
Agreed. I'll likely hold off until the '24s release (I'm hoping Emerald Green returns to the color pallet) at which point I'd order with 18s and use them as my winter set.
No transmission/shifting issues at all. Notable difference in steering with the rear wheel joining in now. Did not have performance seats but I would only buy one with them.

I mean if you are not in a rush for a new car, despite the wait might be long, it might be worth it. I do hope more colours returns but so far I only seen lesser and lesser colour options : /
Another upgrade may be the emblem on the hood. Im sure the MY24 will get the AMG emblem instead for the MB emblem. This will put in line with the other 43's and 35's that were released after it.

Likely, but then that emblem is probably easy to retrofit though, I don't think it is a big deal as I seen people from the UK doing it already on theirs with minimal effort.
Only thing that I've learned in the last 2 weeks that might be helpful for those ordering is the difference in RZX and RZY wheel choices.
RZY below:
RZX below:
Major differences here are the center cap and the lip of the wheel is black on RZY vs grey on the RZX. I thought the entire aero disc was going to be grey as well as the lip for RZX. Overall the center cap is the biggest differentiator between the two in photos.

I'm at the point of either upgrading to the W206 or, driving my W205 until it does and picking up a medium mileage/low mileage salvage GTS/GTC

That looks to be a Night Package detail. I'm guessing you couldn't even option the grey center caps if you have NP.

The discs are both black. The wheel itself is sprayed grey on the lip and inner spoke walls and then they add the black ring which makes them both look nearly identical IMO.
The way the make these machine faced wheels is spray the whole wheel but the disc is added afterward and then machine the flat facing surface of the painted color.

Weird!!! I thought the disc would be grey as they've done with other amg wheels. That's so odd. I do prefer the more silver look
Yeah most dealers around me are well stocked too. Strangely they haven't sold many at all yet.
We've sold three so far. Matte grey, a white on red and a selenite grey. All people looking for perf seats, Amg sound etc
Everyone has them because they got bunched up at port waiting for release.. after this burst it'll be a trickle.. I have eight here, but only three coming behind them the next couple months

Interesting wonder how it will all play out during the year. Within a 500 mile radius we got about 170 available near me (california)
When I jumped from a B8.5 S4 to a C450 it felt like a huge step into a sportier car. I loved the power train in the S4 (supercharged V6 - voted best powertrain IIRC a few times) but the C450 had a much more visceral sound and feedback as far as suspension, steering, etc. It felt on edge in comparison.
I then had a 2019 C43 - which was more comfortable than the C450 and sounded better but was floaty and seemed to roll in the corners, which the c450 did as well but the suspension firmness kind of gave you an illusion of more sportiness.
The W206 C43 feels like another step up again. The sound for the US car is different than what you've heard from EU reviews. It's bassy where the the w205 never was. I'd still stay the W205 sounds better but the W206 has something different to offer - you hear the turbo, pops and bangs are plenty prevalent. Something about the 1500 RPM's or so through the mid range on the W205 was very motorsport in tone, almost exotic - but for me that was a small portion of the overall experience.
The W206 is a dog off the line (without using launch control) - this somehow makes it feel more civil with initial throttle response compared to the w205 which could feel touchy/jerky. No replacement for displacement. After it's moving it just keeps moving and wants to eat the road. This car really feels like like it steps up above the middle ground this segment was pinned for - this could be a bad thing for some potential buyers. Comfort suspension is more than suitable for daily driving but it feels at home banging through gears more than anywhere else. Between gears the W206 feels like no lift shift vs (hypothetically) manually shifting in the w205. Electrified Turbo is not just marketing. Between gears the W206 feels like it's powering up instead of looking for power.
Photos do not do this car justice, it looks incredible in person. Total package for a sedan, no bad angle.
Despite the W206 weighing more and where I'd say there was never a place for the W205 to be on track - the W206 feels like it was designed on the track. If you like technology and want a sportier driving experience and were skeptical about jumping to the w206 from the w205 - don't be.

Wow you finally took delivery, congrats and good spec too and nice review thanks for your impressions. I am actually surprised how the C 450 felt more sporty than the C 43, I wondered why... Could be many things, tires, suspension (like you mentioned, the 9G weighs more than the 7G? etc.)
