Was looking into a local well known Merc service place for her service B coming up in the Spring, but will definitely think about that with the c43.

Side note, there are a couple of those initial builds already listed on my dealer's website (NJ) - New Mercedes-Benz C Class For Sale in Edison NJ | Ray Catena Edison
I should be hearing some updates soon from my SA but was curious to see them showing up on the site with pricing already.
Thanks for this! I just checked and you can see a bunch of inventory now on mbusa.com. One step closer!

Edit: here's a Starling at my dealership group:

Not sure if this is helpful, but I currently have 19's and really have not had any issues over about 12k miles / a year and a half (and I am in the northeast). Obviously, I am mindful of potholes, but I haven't felt like I needed to worry too much about it... although without a spare I do miss run flats...

Right, I got 19' too on a BMW but they are 35, not 30, I haven't had any issues in Boston either. But 30 could be problematic. + AMG wheels are super expensive, so I guess it depends on the cost of insurance vs the cost of wheel/tire.

Those are 265/35 so it's lees prone to damage. But it also depends of the tires. Some are better than others. We won't know what we got until lots of them are on the roads.

that number on it's own does not mean anything as it is a ~percentage of the width. A 235/40/19 has the same sidewall height as a 265/35/19, aka the same level of protection (given the stretch is equivalent as that can be a variable as well).

It's true. But in c43 example, both 19 and 20 are 265 I think.

My SA confirmed that my c43 is built. I got VIN as well.
it is at the port and wait to be shipped. Not sure how long it would be. The MSRP is around 72K with all options.

I've been seeing more AMG vehicles on the road with the night package so black exhaust tips. They are so underwhelming. From a distance you can hardly see the exhausts.... you might even mistake it for an EV with no tailpipes.
I don't know why they can't leave the chrome exhaust tips with the night package and have the black tips as an add on or part of an extended package. The chrome tips pop so much more

Same situation... my MSRP is around 68K because MB left off my studio package... 🙄
I also have my VIN but can't really track until it gets on a ship which my SA doesnt know when that would be...

If you don't like it, you could thin the paint I think since they have the tendency of flaking anyways so thinning it might not be a bad idea, this was at least true for the W205 facelift https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...ml#post7977603

i did not choose the studio pack. But I added the leather seat with ventilated seats. So far all options I picked are added. Yeah there is no way to track now with that VIN.

AMG C43
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. This seems like the "order & build" thread, and I think I'm in the minority since I put my deposit on for a dealer preconfigured car - but I wanted to share some information.
It seems like my C43 was produced 9/9/2022 and arrived in Baltimore VPC on 10/25/2022. So it's been in the VPC for 6 weeks already.
My SA says he has absolutely no idea when the vehicle would arrive, saying that he's seen cars arrive as quickly as 2 weeks or take as long as 7 months. Yikes.
According to my research it seems like the VPC is a abyssal void that no one knows anything about how long it would take to release the vehicle, so while I'm hoping that it would arrive by the end of the year, I am doubtful that it actually will.
I'm trying to take it easy and chill... hopefully sooner than later though.

I think your c43 is the first car built in September. Could you track the current status of your vehicle using VIN? Really hope you receive your car by EOY.

The release date was set to 2/28/23 - cars could very well sit until then, despite being here.

MB could change things at any point though.

Is it an official release date for all vehicles in the States? What are the possible reasons for holding all the vehicles at VPCs?? 😫

Perhaps they are waiting until the website gets updated?
Seriously though, it could be that software is not ready they make usa specific updates at VPC.

Simply what Netstar is showing - nothing official.

Dima may be correct with software not being ready - otherwise this has been pretty standard for MB over the last couple years for releases.

I don't think it has anything to do with the website - I took delivery of my 2019 and it still showed the prefacelift on the website.

I'm not a huge fan of getting a car that is barely even a MY23 anymore - but after waiting a year, I don't really have much bargaining power

Yeah I got my VIN today and my SA said it was built on 12/10 and just waiting for MB to release them. My MSRP is 74k with destination. I got to keep my lunar blue thankfully. Hopefully it’s not sitting until February but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Yeah I can "track" the status but doesn't show any more information than what I've shared already (production date, VPC arrival, and that it's stuck in VPC right now). Fingers crossed for an early release!

What are you using to track the status?
