W206 C63 E PERFORMANCE Unveiling Date
First pictures I have seen
Yeah I’m sold on that…wagon version and I’m already getting the wallet out, fingering the notes with my eager sweaty hands as I throw my money at the screen.
Better looking than any of the EQ visual shenanigans.

Car and Driver's article mentions the wheelbase is longer for the 206 C63 S E-Performance over the standard C300. I know 205 has a different (longer) front end, but I'm pretty sure wheelbase was the same for C300/43/63.

Is it just me or does the rear of the car just not very distinctive at all? Not going with flared fenders means this looks just like any other AMG line 206, and it definitely doesn't look like it has 670 hp.

It's worth repeating that this power can only be delivered for up to 10 seconds. Sustained power is much lower. The battery is good at delivering quick bursts of power, but it can't sustain it. I drove the GT 63 S E Performance a couple of months ago at the Nürburgring. It didn't feel faster than the regular GT 63 S, but it felt like an elephant due to the added weight of the hybrid system. Waiting for the figures and see if they managed to shave some weight off this one, but the hybrid system adds 500 lbs and the W206 C43 already weighs over 4000 lbs. It made the GT E Performance a 6300 lbs car and boy did it make it worse.

I realize this is the direction we are inevitably heading to, but I just don't see people spending $100k on this. Sure it looks great, but C63 was always about emotion and rawness from the V8. It was a big change when they went from the 6.2 to the 4.0, but I just can't see an inline 4 to be anywhere near as emotional as a V8. For gods sake they added EXTERIOR speakers to this thing.
4600lbs! we all knew that it would be about 44-45 but 4600 pushing to 4700, yikes. it needs that power just to move it. big win for anyone with a w205 c63 or w204.

Is there a chance you see the ordering guide for the W206 C 63? If so, could you post it? Thanks.
Eaton, since you were able to see the ordering guide for the W206 C 43 soon after the premiere : https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post8554115

I'm astonished at that weight figure! Wonder what the sustained power in the real world after a few laps will actually be...
Can't see there being much tuning headroom either with that 4 cylinder. I'd bet a downpipe/tune W205 C63 walks this.
Makes cross shopping with a new M3 comp a pretty easy decision imo...
