the BIG question nobody has addressed or asked

So... its 680hp.... for a minute or two.

How fast can power be generated with the brakes on the track or extreme back road driving vs how quickly it is deployed.

ie, you use your 280hp boost empty in 2laps and it takes the rest of your 20min session to get it charged back up...?

Im hopeful but being realistic its likely to be a 280hp party trick for city use or "normal level spirited driving". Not something that can sustain itself if your doing 60-130mph on closed country back roads or any racetrack if your really driving the car.

How much time do you actually spend at full power? Even F1 cars don't go flat out around a track. Sounds like the battery can be recharged quickly when driving.

4700 lb car on a track can't go "***** out" very long. The brakes and tires are gonna give up pretty quickly.

That statement is true for any production car on a racetrack.

Do you not think they thought of this? These aren't Prius batteries... they are made to charge quickly and expend energy quickly as well. They built the best powertrain in F1 for the past 8 years... I think they know what they are doing.

Disagreed. 4700 lbs and almost 700 hp punishes the brakes exponentially more.

Are you serious?
