I can see 4matic being optional. It only makes sense to have it optional for those that live in areas which crazy winters. Also my dealer said that they'll be available in 4matic. Don't know if it's true or not.

AWD C63 absolutely yes please, as many others have stated and as the pole results show at least offer it as an option so then people can make their own decision 
In the time I've spent with C63's and driven them hard, it always came to mind at how much quicker this thing would be if it could just 'hook up' all that power a lot better, it definitely could benefit with AWD a lot especially from stand still or coming out of the blocks.
The new TTV8 specification has enormous potential, it only makes sense to take full advantage of that with AWD.
From literature I've seen it will (ie. 205 C63) eventually be available for LHD vehicles only, I'm hoping it also becomes available for RHD vehicles to suit those markets as well.
