Just got some bad news. The car got delayed. The new planned delivery date is May 29th

It does make sense though. He was supposed to get the car the 24th according to the dealer yet Canada doesn't even have pricing out. The dealer probably was giving wrong info. He never saw the net star screen on what was going on. I get info on my car often with screenshots to see what the status is. Mine went into production on the 14th even though the decade planned was the first 10 days. It's supposed to finish tomorrow or Saturday. I had a feeling the Canadians weren't gonna my to get their cats first. That made no sense to me

I am not really surprised about it anymore. The thread name says it all.

 

Basically what happened is that MB Canada is extremely damn *tons of swear words* incompetent.

I had the netstar (Or whatever it's called here) image and saw it in person not long ago. Stated build date March 11th, and planned delivery date was April 25th. Then today I got info from someone which also has a Edition 1 on order in Edmonton but from the other dealership and they said that they just got info that their car will arrive May 28th now. So I called my dealership to check out if this affected me also. Turns out it did; it changed to May 28th. Also the status of the car is "Produced Waiting for shipment from manufacturer." Which means the car was just build right now! Like holy s**t can MB Canada be anymore incompetent. It can't even get the damn build date right! Worst part is I can barely drive my CLA 45 now cause I'm near my KM limits, so it'll be as if I don't have a car for a while, since I can't get a damn loaner due to my age.

 

I think MB should work with you on your CLA miles -- its a lease right? I've been there before with BMW and since I was moving from one BMW to another one, I called BMWFS and told them my situation (BMW promised a car, wasn't ready, needed to keep my lease one month). They actually worked with me and told me not to worry about extending my lease, just drive the car as though it was a loaner. After they confirmed everything, I was good to go. I returned the lease and they wiped away the excess miles on the car. Seems to me MB would extend you the same courtesy -- especially since this has been a huge gaggle from the start.

 

Nope the cars financed. Just have a amazing trade in deal due to the fact that my cars a lemon, and I'm only allowed to go up to 18k km with it. If I go over it then my trade in offer gets worse, and I'll lose more money. So not much I can do since I'm to young to get a loaner. Although even if I didn't have to worry about the km; I'd still be damn pissed because building the car over a month after the build date is just ridiculous.

 

I just got a call from my dealership

I was on the phone with the girlfriend and I didn't want to hang up cause she is visiting her cousin in singapore

I called back and no one picked up. Its probably some good news. Car was already in production so I don't think its anything bad.

 

I called MB Canada today... I was told pricing will not be released till the end of the month. Haven't heard anything about my delivery date yet, but Luna, if your car is delayed I am sure mine is as well. This roll out is brutal.

I can price out A Porsche GT4 that will not be released till December! And we don't know our price a month out!

 

Ya MB Canada need's to get their s**t together because honestly in my opinion they look extremely incompetent. Hopefully the news Amanuuh was supposed to get is good news so that at least someone on this forum will have some good news.

I just got a screenshot of NetStar from my dealer. Planned delivery is the 4th of May! It is a good Friday!

 

Lucky. Were practically neighbors and you get it so early compared to us! Totally not fair lol. So if you do get your car by then and if you're every in the Edmonton area then let me know cause I'd love to see it!
