Pricing in Australia puts the Ed1 under the pricing of the C63 507 Edition
http://www.caradvice.com.au/337994/m...d-from-162000/
507 Edition pricing is 169.5k
Edition 1 is 162k
Hopefully it'll be the same case in Canada since here a fully loaded C63 Edition 507 costs 81k meaning the Edition 1 could possibly cost less then 80k!!!!

Oh man! Last night was funny. I went to the Chicago auto show courtesy of my MB Dealer, with the intention of checking out the c63. It was a typical **** show of huge crowds and people posing for pictures with cars, I really second guessed myself for going. MB brought a a beautiful grey c63 s with the spider wheels. I asked the reps to open a car for me, I explained to them that I put down a deposit i would like to see the car but they wouldn't do it. I walked away frustrated into the "vip" lounge for my free water. Where I met the most pompous salesman from motor works, who else would they have work Friday night. So this guy tried to tell me that it takes 4 months to build the car I won't see it till August etc...

How does that salesman have a job? 4 months is like 3 and a half months too much.

So now that the reviews are out the question is Where is the pricing? Also I'm starting to wonder if the release of the C63 will be delayed until April since the pricing still isn't out.

I'm slightly doubtful of that since on January 26th MBUSA stated "We are hoping to have the prices nailed down in the next 2 weeks." and on Feb 10th they said "the goal is to announce in the next week or so...." . So currently it seems like theres a delay in possible retail release, or the pricing is so damn good (Like the Australian pricing where the Ed1 is priced under 507 edition) that they aren't willing to reveal it until the last second, or they're making changes to it cause it's too good to be true.

Probably. Just wish MBUSA would actually inform people on this instead of doing nothing. Also guess that all 3 of us will be getting our cars around the same time, but you guys might beat me by a week or two if if my car isn't delayed due to shipping issues etc like my CLA was.

So far I'm planning on keeping the wheels I have on my CLA 45 which are Repilkas to use on the C63S since they should fit. As for tires I'll probably use some WS80 Bridgestone Blizzaks, or some studded nokian Hakapeliittas.

I know the w204 was having troubles in heavy snowfalls, even with good winter setup.
I am hoping this wont be the issue with the w205, just curious in your sig it doesnt seem like you owned RWD, are you worried?

Nah not really. I drove RWD cars during the winter in the past, but never owned one. So as long as you don't drive like a mad man, and have a proper winter set up then you should be fine. Also I believe that the W205 will have better traction which should make it more drivable during the winter time, but even if it has some issues I'll just throw a couple of sandbags into the trunk

My E92 M3 I put snows plus a 80 pounds bag of concrete. I didn't have much trouble with it. However, I did have Michelin Alpin 3's on the car. BMW had a set of tires and wheels that I purchased. I did not like how they gripped in the snow.
This year I'm running the Dunlop Winter Maxx, which are dedicated studless snow/ice tires. While they're not as dynamic as the Blizzaks in cold/dry conditions, they are a Godsend on snow and ice.
Here are a few pics of the tread design:
