2016 Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe spied for the first time
+ 1
I hope so because the coupe mule in the other thread is not like this one and we were mislead in a similar way back when there was a wide fender W205 sedan doing the rounds but it didn't happen in production cars.
Your first line above suggests this mule is an unknown to you too JPMBenz

Just let the cat out of the bag already LOL will it have the wider fenders ??

YES! The fenders will be wider! Even and the front too compared with the sedan's. Just zoom in and look at the photos, most of the edge of the fenders/bumpers isn't covered by the camo. Compare the black fender flare splash guard at rear bumper (that already stick out at the rear fenders) with the sedan's if you'd want. The test car has Continental ContiSportContact 5P 285/30ZR19 at rear, unless they want to use a different model of tire in the front for testing the car, not to shock you
, for the matching front that would be running 255/35ZR19 and there's not 245 width in the sizes...

Stop over thinking it.
If this is a standard C63 Coupe then its more aggressive then the C204, which is a good thing, and follows the pattern of most sportscars as they go through generations (latest generation is more sporty then the last)
If this is the C63 Black Series, then this is the most understated Black Series car yet. I've never seen a subtle or understated BS car

Logic states this is a standard C63 Coupe.

Having said that, it would have been nice for the C63 S sedan to have an a$$ like this. Yes, very happy with the current car but would have been completely blown away by one with sexy hips and a great set of buns like this test mule.
That's what happened with the W204 sedan when the coupe debuted in '12 (i.e., the LCI sedan adopted the coupe's new styling cues).
As soon as the coupe is available for sale, the sedan will be nearly ready for it's LCI (should come in late '17/early '18).
Not being sarcastic, I actually want to know the reasoning behind this.
For example, in this picture Maserati isnt testing a Ghibli lift kit, its actually their future SUV, but they are testing it with a Ghibli body on it because they are the same platform and its early before a body is ready
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Maybe they were testing C63 GT (Grand Tease) or C63 RS (Real Sex) at that time… Maybe they drank too much beer and wine after the great success of W204 AMG, and decided to not spend the extra cost to fix the traction/give it what it deserves and should have because people would buy it anyway and they can pocket more profits…

I still highly hope/think there's wider rear fenders/track (may not be beefy and fat) on the coupe, if not, I'm kissing my order goodbye… If the new improved sh!etty MCT doesn't fix the unresponsive/hesitative sometimes stoned problems that might kill me in traffic than jerks (I can live be with that and try to handle it which would be less likely to put me in car accidents), I'm kissing AMG goodbye… Looking forward to see reviews on the tranny, not how it performs on track but in different varieties of urban traffics.
JP, please confirm. TIA

Thank you for confirming, now bring on all the W205 C63 Coupe details.
I hope it really does get those wider fenders, there's so much more space to play with rims and tyres compared to what looks like the W205 sedan C63 wheels fitment there, for once you could fit up a beautiful set of deep concaves on a MB like you can with most Audis and BMW's.
It's just the camo pattern doing its job. The wheels are wrong, but that's not uncommon at all for a mule.
Drop dead gorgeous even with the reduced fender flares on this rendering

Still hoping and wishing it gets lengthened and slimmed tail lights like this render and I love that MB have kept the swept up kink in the rear quarter glass

The rear trunk seems too small and I actually like the tail lights on the sedan. Front to about the rear pillar looks nice, although missing the fender flare, but I'm just not a fan of the rear. Let's see what it looks like for real...
For me if the render holds to form, then in terms of looks:
M4 > C63S Sedan > M3 > C63S Coupe
As AV1 said, if the car is lengthened somewhat, especially the back, that would definitely help.
Just my opinion, but still excited to see it in the flesh.
EDIT: OK, it's growing on me.
Still like the sedan a little more, but I can see the potential of the coupe.EDIT2: You know, I can't wait to see spacers on the sedan actually..a little rear wheel poke on the C63S sedan
