Joerome is yours a Edition1? If so why no body side stripe?

 

So far none have had the stripe. I wonder if it is the case of graphics being installed at the dealer.

What? You should insist they install for you!! Especially the mirror red decals? You've taken delivery already or the car is still being prepared?
Also I noticed your trunk spoiler is not black. I thought Ed 1 is Night package with black spoiler/trim?

 

I have a lot of questions about the exterior. Lol.

They are prepping the car and I am suppose to pick it up on Tuesday.

I emailed mb canada and asking them the same questions. Hopefully I will get an answer before my pickup day.

 

The stripes and all the other decals are in the trunk. The dealership is supposed to install them if you want them

 

Thanks for the info. How about the front grill, rear wing and the exhaust? Are they suppose to be black chrome? Assuming the car has the night package.

 

From what I remember you get the normal chrome with the Edition 1 for some reason. As for the other stuff I can only go based off what I saw at the dealership. Only the A wing on the front seems to be in black. Rear wing is the color of the car. Also the Edition 1 packages includes the night package. Don't know why they decided to take out the black chrome tips from the night package which is in the Edition 1 package though since they look awesome.

 

If ur picking up the car, I recommand getting the Paint Protection!!! Retail price in CA is $500, interior treatment is also $500 but not worth it cuz it's gonna wear off fast (my experience and it's not worth it). You'll like the crazy water beading, rain/water drops slip super fast off the paint. It's quite long lasting (MB CA's supplier is in Alberta), and MB offers warranty. If you dun want to spend that money, and want to save some $$$ u can get polymer wax and do it urself, you'll need to remove the new car wax applied on the car after the car's made at factory first.

Then MB Canada of course forgot to ship the decals. Which I wouldn't be surprised since I have extremely extremely low expectations for MB Canada after everything.

 

i would expect a little bit of attention to details since this is an edition 1...

 

I also expected that when I ordered my first ever MB/AMG aka the CLA 45. After that my expectations went way down.

 

is all the edition 1 suppose to be the same? as in the one in UK will look the same as the one in Canada?

the edition 1 should have the side decal, black rear spoiler, red decal on the side mirrors and possibly black chrome exhaust tip.

 

My 507 was supposed to have the black exhausts too, I think MB Canada just doesn't ship it that way. I had my decals on as it came off the transport truck.


They are a great dealership, I am sure they will get to the bottom of this. I think the decals will really sharpen it up! And I am not a decal guy by any stretch, AMG does it right though

 

Just wondering what you guys are paying for your edition ones just in case im getting charged more i can negotiate. Im paying around 98k~ before taxes, what about you guys?

 

It depends on which options you chose. Those guys who picked everything are paying 107k

 

Interesting comments about the decals on the side. My friend who works for a dealer in Atlanta does not have graphics on their cars either. I will contact her tomorrow and see if they are in the trunk.

 

Schedule to pickup my car on Tuesday. Hopefully they have those decals ready. And I was really hoping the spoiler be in black (night package).

I wonder where the decals could be if they aren't in the trunk. Maybe the guys doing PDI already took them, or maybe the factory forgot to put them their? First thing I'll probably do when my car arrives is check the trunk for the decals now to see if they're there just like in the David Morris car lol.

 

My salesman isn't very helpful. Lol. He seems as lost as I am and not really wanted to help.

Anyways. I sent an email to mb canada with my vin number regarding my concern. Hopefully this minor issue can be resolve.

since I couldn't get the carbin fibre option. I will probably get the side mirrors wrap. I love the ricer look. Lol

The list of enhancements is highlighted by a dark-tinted rear and side windows, black-chrome tailpipes, glossy-black diffuser, lacquered high-gloss black mirror frames, black anodized window frames, high-gloss black double-slat grille and a glossy front splitter.

 

I already notice a few things are missing from our edition 1 with night package.

The rear windows are not tinted and the exhaust are not black chrome. Rear spoiler should be been black?

 

The Canadian normal C class doesn't even have the night package. (Check the configurator on MB Canadas website if you want. Also I'll double check to see if this is correct on the order guide cause the configurator can be messed up at times.) Edit- Just checked and it doesn't mention the night package for the C class even once.

Also cars can't have dark tinted rear and sides windows as a option in Canada, since it's illegal in some provinces.

The Edition 1's usually don't come with everything that's included in the night package. This also happened with the CLA 45. Windows weren't tinted (Even the night package doesn't include this.), and the exhausts didn't come in black chrome. So it's not that they're missing; it's just that Edition 1's don't come with that stuff.

Also here's the features list from the newest order guide I have on the night package. (March order guide)
