I spotted the same car that PFS01 saw yesterday driving along Ferntree Gully Rd in Knoxfield this morning.
I am guessing it is either a press car or a dealer "education" demo.
If not, I would have thought that the owner would be on this forum and come forward....

clearbra is fast mustard. Although Reflect Effect and Pro Vinyl (Artarmon) are great as well. I've used OziCozi previously but got a better deal this time on 3M Scotchgard PPF. Full bonnet, mirrors, wings, front bar, rear bumper.

He emailed me straight back and said that he had been in touch with MB Aus and they had explained to him that the cars in those photos all belong to AMG Aus. Apparently these are the cars that are going to be used at Bathurst so they need to be run in before being smashed around a racetrack for a few days. This seems like a pretty logical explanation to me so I've calmed back down again...

How long did it take you to decide the colour? I must have gone back and forth between Silver, White and Grey like 50 times. Eventually settled on Silver after seeing pics of the ED 1 estate in that colour as well as seeing a Silver C250 estate with the AMG pack in the flesh. Colour looks fantastic IMO, but it's not everyone's taste.

Congrats - I'm getting an Iridium Silver ED 1 too (estate not sedan though).

i just thought the iridium silver looks good its that classic colour of the gullwing too which i liked and with the red it just appealed to me.
can't wait! 8 months so is a while, gives me some time to work out how to pay for it...lol

Does it seem strange that the cars sighted are all in Melbourne?
Last time I checked, Melbourne was a long way from Bathurst.
If that is the case, the cars will be well and truely run in by the time they get there...

If they're to go up from Victoria, they'll most likely be transported not driven

I've ordered Diamond White Edition One few weeks ago and was told today there is a global shortage in diamond white paint. Therefore Sep production will be delayed to Nov. Anyone has the same experience?

Yes, I was told exactly the same thing by my dealer when they rang me the other day as I've ordered Diamond White. In fact, they said November is not even guaranteed at this stage and may be pushed out further.

uhm, that's not entirely true. I collect mine on 29 June but you will have to take my word for it as I'll be overseas from the 30th. I've been told not to drive it until after the AMG event at Bathurst. I've been asked not to say the name of the dealer or the colour of car haha but I can post pics (in Aust) if you want. I think this is all because of end of FY.
How am I so sure? well, I have my VIN and vessel tracking info, they've just completed my CHP finance, they have arranged insurance, they have booked me in for the handover and they are taking my A45 at the same time. (oh and on the 26th the the 3M PPF guy is booked applying the clearbra at the dealership). There are two others in the dealership getting the same delivery. Such a shame I wont be here early July to drive it around....

I saw your A45 sitting there on Friday (I recognised the number plate from your old GT3RS and also when it was on the short lived 991 GT3) and C told me the story. Lucky you, mine doesn't come for awhile yet. In the mean time we have picked up a C250 AMG pack car for the wife. It's such a nice car inside. Much nicer than my M3!

. Busted! I'm being quiet on here as this thread was tipped off to MB Aust. In any case, my original point stands true and my car is looking awesome, I've just been banned from posting pics by my dealership until mid July. Just as well I'm off overseas for a short break.

Hah! I've been around since my first C63 in early 2008. But I am not an active forum member as you can see. I just came on to see if anyone has received their cars. Have you decide on spec on GT4? I still haven't heard what is going on there with build slot for mine.
