Quote: Hah! I've been around since my first C63 in early 2008. But I am not an active forum member as you can see. I just came on to see if anyone has received their cars. Have you decide on spec on GT4? I still haven't heard what is going on there with build slot for mine.

When does the C63 turn up for you?
due in in about 12 days, delivery o n the 14th or 15th, cant remember now. I may be in Shanghai though.

The latest on the GT4 is options / colors to be locked in around November / December so still have sometime to go.

Quote: I placed an order last month with a dealer in Melbourne and was told to expect the car in October. Total cost around $170k with edition 1 pack.
OLE85 - What deal did you get? Where are you based? What colour/spec? Delivery date? Are you a long term MB person?
Im from Melbourne i paid 150 without on road costs
diamond white
black wheels ( not sure what their called)
carbon trim

Im actually never owned a MB my family all drive mb, ML amg,S-CLASS,I'm driving a e92 m3 which i supercharged with a ESS system running about 410kw at the wheels.
i just got married and wanting baby friendly car for my self i did look at the new m3 but i just didn't like the fact it went to a strait 6 from v8, I'm am worried about missing the power i have now but i guess its about growing up lol, all my mates are taking bets on how long it will take me to mod it, i get board with cars pretty easy

Thanks. Will look into it when I get my beast in Jan

Sounds like a plan, but in the case of any Black series 2 factors will keep most people at bay...the prohibitive acquisition cost and limited supply even if you can afford to buy one.

Those 2 factors depend of course what Country your in, here in Australia it's a tough one on both counts according to my MB contact he knows of only 3 C204 BS vehicles sold here.

Better and easier to just stick with upgrading to a "regular" C63 coupe

Getting back on the topic of Aussies taking delivery of their W205 C63's, I know of 20 brand new vehicles hidden and parked away from view until release starting next month...I believe some of those may even have members names from this forum on them

Don't worry the wait is almost over

Yes please do, not only on the obvious performance aspects but the total package as well compared to your W204.

I'm interested to know if the build quality is better or not compared to the regular W205's here which are being supplied from the South Africa MB plant.

There's plenty of issues with those and we're hearing of a lot of issues with U.S assembled W205's as well, I had a loaner W205 sedan for 3 weeks and was not impressed at all with certain parts of it compared to my C204 and other previous W204's I've had from time to time which like the AMG's were supplied from Germany.

The standard specification sheet for Australian cars simply says the C63s comes with "AMG spoiler lip on boot lid". I am assuming that is colour coded?? The Edition 1 spec is "AMG spoiler lip in high-gloss black".
Looking in the Australian C-Class accessories guide, the only mention is a rear spoiler that comes with a primed finish to allow it to be painted any colour. For carbon fibre, I have definitely seen them available on e-bay from overseas sites (not sure of shipping). Alternatively, someone might know of a local aftermarket supplier.

Iv seen the aftermarket ones but I know in other countries mb offer oem carbon spoilers, I'm wanting one to be top quality not a Chinese crapy spoiler which will make the car look cheap

I am also interested in quality carbon fibre accessories (with fitting where needed) but can not find anything for the w205 (only w204). Maybe keep an eye on the websites of Mars Performance in Melbourne or Tuning World in Sydney.

I also just found this Australian website:

Looks like a new product for them - $550 for carbon fibre.

Totally different car than old one. Old one was excellent just because u can just turn it on and it was great all the time. This one you must find your programs settings you like. Comfort mode is rubbish. Great news on auto stop start rubbish if u set up program in sports it does not do auto stop start. Also it remembered my last program when I turned on the car.
The engine has huge torque very low down and pulls hard even from 3rd.
Fuel is much more efficient and turbos only work over 3000rpm but hey I can't drive past 4500 until I have done 1500km. Quality is good but not a solid feel as w204.
This car has a huge leapmore tech over the w204.I love the 360 camera. Im still undecided and need to try them back to back as old one was still very good set up out of the box. New one is better once set up so it's reminds me of m3 settings

I officially seen one of these person. A edition one. Looks way better in real life. Sounds even better. Interior is amazing. Only thing I didn't like was the grill. The silver made it look plastic cheap, but I only looked at the car for a few minutes.

I live in Jhb.
My c63 was a full import from Germany.
The 63's are not assembled in SA. Only the regular 205.

I've used this mob a lot for certain parts over the years, generally they're ok to deal with but some of their product line is way over priced, most of their products before was mainly OEM but they now have a lot of aftermarket items.

Currently located in Tullamarine they used to be on the fringe of the CBD.

Yes that's correct and noted in many of my previous posts.

Worldwide supply of all AMG models/variants is from Germany except the U.S.A. where they now locally assemble the W205 C63.

I'm interested to compare the differences (if any) when I get my hands on an AMG W205 C63 vs the South African supplied regular W205 variants, I'm hoping the undesirable issues I found with my loaner regular W205 are not present in the fully German manufactured AMG variant.
