Spotted an iridium silver one mid afternoon yesterday (in Melbourne) heading east on High St. in Armadale...

Not sure if it was a dealers/demo car or a customer delivered vehicle though ??

I could supply you with lots of pics of brand new pre-delivery vehicles currently stored away - but cannot do so without obvious repercussions...

As previous mentioned there were approx. 20 hidden away at a particular dealership several weeks ago.

AFAIK initial deliveries in Melbourne should be taking place this month, so it won't be long before they start appearing on our roads.

The one I saw on the weekend I personally believe to be a dealer executives car, or maybe a mag reviewers take away vehicle.

Hello all. I'm new on this forum.

We took delivery of our C63S last Thursday (2nd Jul). Obs black, black wheels. Was in Melb on the weekend. Just completed the run in of 1500km today. It is awesome.

Will be driving it to Bathurst next week for the drive days.

A45. C63S.
The car is awesome.

We've been driving a 2013 A45, which has been a great car (and we are still keeping), but we have a new addition to the family and the car was too small for the wife and Bub, so we ordered a C63S for. Bit more space. The interior is far superior to the A45. Very nice to be in. We haven't lost much room in the front passenger side with back baby seat in reverse.

The sound of the car and exhaust is intoxicating (sounds the same as the 6.3 imho). Drives really well and the dynamic select is great to use and very functional.

It's fast!

HUD is fun.

360 degree camera is fun and very useful.

Steering assist isn't that fun to use imho. Novel at first, but not as smooth and when you want to take over it fights you.

Freeway driving 115km/hr, gives 9-9.5L/100m so very efficient.

It's the wife's daily driver (mines the A45), so I don't drive it often unfortunately.

I will not let my wife read this thread. I don't want to create any expectations that she is allowed to drive the car unless required as the "designated driver" if I want to have a few drinks. I am new to Mercedes, having been a BMW, Lexus and currently Audi man until my c63s arrives in October. The only AMG I have driven is the A45 and I was very impressed. As you own both cars, it would be good to understand the differences as it is the only thing I can use as a reference until my car arrives. The ride on the A45 was much better than I expected. Is the C63s the same or better again as it is a larger car? How much faster in daily driving does the C63s feel? What fuel economy do you get on average and in the city?
Finally, congratulations on the new arrival (baby I mean) and enjoy Bathurst!!!

Sounds like a very good deal. However, it might be best to get an all up "drive away" price from the dealer as the delivery and onroad costs can sometimes get inflated if you are not careful.

For the wagon, you should be able to get it for around 119k *base* price on the quote sheet for just the vehicle, ex all taxes - gst, dealer delivery, lct stamp duty etc. Obviously all the options as well on top.

If you get it cheaper, let me know.

There have been price rises since July 1 I am told. Prior to the price rise, the base price for the S205 was $123,053.

If you're just looking at the all up total price, probably something like 7-8k discount off the sticker price for corporate, hard to say exactly, depends on the options.

Works out about circa $157k drive away (NSW), with a circa $114k base price.
I'm told there is nothing in it for the dealer at this price. Wondering if that is just BS!
Still waiting to test drive.
Also like the M3 but BMW not very forthcoming with discounts.

I don't know how you got this price. It seems cheap. Has it been approved by the sales manager as some sales people entice with low pricing then go up for approval and get rejected. Almost 10k off the base price for a new highly popular model seems a lot. If it's a forward order, hard to get this, if it's floor stock and unpopular, heavy discounts. They have no need to discount this car much, they will sell every unit and if you don't pay a high price, they will find somebody else to.

Take the deal if you can. I have no idea why they are dropping the price so much, especially with a long wait list.

I know this guy pretty well, so not achievable for the average Joe of the street, but I'm always sceptical of someone saying "best price". He has come through with the goods in the past, but the percentage discounts have been much better previously.

FYI - The other price someone posted of $150k is basically comparable to this one, so seems to be achievable.

Yeah it would be a forward order. I wouldn't believe everything you hear about the waiting list.
If you need instant gratification of course there is a premium to pay!

Still BS. The "other guy" claimed his quote was for an unregistered track use car without LCT, GST, rego, etc.
go buy it. I'll pay you $5k more to take your order. Seriously. pM me the dealership if you please.

The drive away price in Victoria is $167,823 including GST, LCT, dealer delivery, registration and stamp duty. I would have thought about $5k off is the maximum discount you would get dependent on your relationship with the dealer. There is no real reason for dealerships to discount the car. It is highly in demand. Based on the experience of a friend in the past few months, you will have more hope of getting a sizeable discount on an M3. Without starting a war of words, I think BMW will be the ones running scared when the reviews start to come out. They have already started to add extra equipment to the M3 to catch up...

RR Vogue; C63s; GT4 on order
theres a lot of crap and claims being thrown around, so lets stick to actual facts

C63S; in Syd Black on Black, delivery next week although ordered in April, have the optional black multi spokes $165k drive away no relationship with the MB dealer.

M3; have a good relationship with the dealer, and have been offered $153k driveway DCT with the leather dash

both are on their relevant Corp packs

Remember with LCT and stamp, there is a sizeable tax component in there as part of the discount. Again, there is global demand for these cars but the local talk about waiting lists is just marketing hype.

I do really like the look of the M3. The C63 has lost all its visual aggression in this version, although there is something to be said for being discreet. As for how they both drive it is probably down to personal preference, any comparisons I have read/watched have been pretty close. I look forward to driving the C63 on hopefully a dry day.

I'd be keen to know more about the sizeable M discounts. As an industry friend (not Merc or BMW) told me, just because something has a certain list price doesn't mean that is the transaction price. The high "list" price is just another marketing ploy.

Thank you.
Unless these "$150k" quotes are substantiated, then it's all crap and we should stick with the facts. Name your dealership.

Back on topic, I know of four others on MS'. fB group who have taken delivery. Anyone up for a drive up to Bathurst for the event?

We would love to, but unfortunately we aren't in Sydney. We are heading UP to Bathurst on Thursday for the Friday drive day.
