Panorama Roof - Performance, Weight... worth it?
Sorry for another thread, but I did a search and this wasn't a topic so thought I'd start one.
There seems to be some questions among different people on the Panorama roof. I myself have a 2016 C63S on order WITH the Pano roof, but was wondering if I should change it, and maybe a discussion here could help make that decision (also, this thread gives other people who have a similar question a place to search).
Some categories to start (questions I'd like answered). Feel free to add so people can answer

1. Does anyone know the weight addition by adding the roof? I've heard both 80 pounds and 220, and everything in between. 80 isn't too bad... 220 is getting towards a lot to be adding so high up on the vehicle.
2. Any affects on performance (outside of weight)? Talking rigidity here or other non-weight related issues.
3. Any long term mechanical problems (heard possible rattling on early versions of the Pano roof after 3-4 years from 2005 car owners)?
4. Any issues with it allowing too much light in for really sunny climates? Making cabin too hot?
5. What's there to LIKE about the pano roof? Anyone NOT get it but regret not getting it?

2 - Top heavy - roll more thru corners at higher speed
3 - Search the forum but I've heard about a grinding noise when closing it. I've got a sunroof on my current C350 and I've had it looked at by my dealer several times for a grinding noise when closing it.
4 - You can cover it from the inside and or tint it.
5 - I like the look of it from the outside as well as the inside but I opted not to get it because. 1- everything negative I stated above 2 - $$$$$$ 3 - I plan on taking the car to the track 4 - Pretty much all cars I've owned either had a sunroof or t-tops and I just want something without.
I love a sunroof so to me it was a no-brainer. I personally do not think around the track you will see the difference between a non-pano and pano car.

It's a cost/benefit equation that will work out differently for different people. For me the benefits outweigh any aspirations of making a record lap at COTA ! LOL.
