Anyone doing the extended warranty?

anyone keeping it for over 4 years? Extended warranty is well worth it right if you are keeping it for 7 years....

I do plan to get PPM but will likely pass on the extended warranty.

I am planning to keep it beyond standard warranty and will get extended warranty for it. My MB service advisor recommends extended warranty as well. I don't know the pricing but will start researching it soon.

I am planning on getting both the ppm and the extended warranty. 7th year only covers powertrain. I think it is around 6k for 7 years
I also bought the tires and rims protection plan.

Why now?
You can buy it later as long as original warantee is still in force.
If and when you decide to keep it in year 4 you can than but it than.

Isn't it cheaper the first month. JPMB can confirm. Plus, prices always go up every year.

True the PPM package you need to get right away (which I plan on purchasing) but you could wait for an extended warranty down the road. Why? What happens if you decide to get a different car after 3 or 4 years. What about if some dumb..ars t-bones you?
With my 2009 C350 I waited with getting an extended warranty until I got close to the end of the original warranty. By luck they were running a 10% of special which they do occasionally. Just my $0.02
A lot of AMG forum members do recommend not to drive these AMG's out of warranty.

You should be able to get the price paid for the extended warranty if you are within the 4 year period. Why? Prices go up all the time too. And even if you get t-boned, can't you get your extended warranty money back since you didn't use it if it is within the first 4 years?

It's transferable when you sell it which helps its resale value supposedly ( I won't hold my breath on that one) but I do not believe you will get your money back

For all those who will be buying and keeping the car long term, I would also recommend extended warranty especially to cover the drive train.

Pricing and terms of extended warranties will vary depending what Country your in.
