I've seen people drop 100k a night at clubs here. Drinks come with diamonds in it haha, they are floating in cash.

There are a few reasons:

1. Goods and services tax
2. Import tax
3. Emission tax
4. Luxury car tax
5. Certificate of Entitlement, the right to own a car for 10 years, currently priced around USD50000
6. Only one authorized dealer so there is some kind of monopoly

The C63S I ordered including options costs more than USD400000. Then again a Honda Civic will cost you about USD100000:p
