After market exhaust vs stock

Hello all,

I'm in the market for an exhaust upgrade, looking for opinions / experience of fellow members who have performed the mod.

1. Which brand exhaust did u install and what did u think of the new sound track vs stock (loudness / tone etc).

2. Has anyone tried the combination of down pipes then an exhaust system of different manufacturer? eg: Weistec down pipes and AWE Tuning switch path exhaust. Curious to know the end result soundtrack.

Thanks

I haven't heard any of these aftermarket exhaust systems yet but I think on this car it will become a popular upgrade just because of ease of install.

We ordered all the AWE exhaust systems to put into our inventory but we just placed the order so we are not expecting them for another 5-6 weeks.

Once we have them on our shelves we will try our best to always keep them in stock.

If you are in California and need it installed we can help you with that too. Any exhaust purchased and installed through us will come with a free before and after dyno run.

Let us know what you end up getting and let us know how you like it.

I decided to go with the awe switchpath. Since I already had the valved exhaust it was a perfect option. The sound for stock is much deeper. The pipe diameter is larger so it changed it quite a bit.
There was another thread that mentioned that some of the other options out there do not really make much of a noticeable diff. Think that was FI, I believe a member had that and sold it.
Even my wife who has been driving my car while I have been away commented on how nice the car sounds now.
Can't say much on the downpipes as I am not planning on doing them.

Oh I have some sound clips on my other post. And on my IG account

Your face will hurt after installing the SwitchPath™ system due to too much smiling. Ask bgm.

If you have the DPE already, epic. If not, and you want the capability to open and close valves (I call this mood control) we can make that happen too. Instead of the button from the factory you would be granted valve control via our SwitchPath™ Remote.

Here for questions!

I have the AWE track edition exhaust. It's loud all the time like it should be. I have some videos in my build thread.
