Brakes question
Mercedes missed this on my car two times, the field service manager didn't even see it!
Now, I am waiting two weeks for brake pads to come out of Germany and the car is just sitting there. I have the ceramic rotors, apparently no brake pads in North America and not even a part number??
Already waited two weeks for them to replace the rotors as there was a service bulletin and they were not wearing properly.
If it's ridiculously noisy, you may want to check the brake calipers; there's a brake sensor wire that, at least for me, inadvertently popped out of the caliper and started rubbing against the inside of the rim. It wore a shallow divet into the rim (rim and sensor being replaced under warranty) and while it was in contact with the rim, changed the harmonics just enough to cause a screech every time I braked, regardless of how hard/soft.
Was not expecting this in the MB.

I took my car in for maintenance and asked they take a look and do the same. They replaced my front pads and it immediately helped, but I still heard a small squeal. I brought my car back in and they replaced the rear pads and now I hear nothing. They did not mention anything about rotor/caliper alignment or potential glazing of the pads. They simply replaced and it went away. They did mention these pads are on back order, but I got "lucky" as originally they were told it could take two weeks to get them in. FYI I do not have the CCB.
