I don't have acoustic glass 851 listed on mine.. I guess Mercedes just builds them with the parts they have available at the time.. if they're not in stock they say screw it!!

Cancel the order immediately and hire a lawyer. What kind of third-world savages do they think we are? No folding mirrors?!?!

Seriously though, the dealer MUST give you back AT LEAST what they cost on the build sheet, or what the cost of parts are. I'd imagine $1k sounds about right.

Thanks so much for your help running my VIN! You've relieved my anxiety, I have all of my options listed (including 360 degree cam, folding mirrors, HUD, etc.) so hopefully no surprises when I fly into Stuttgart on Sunday and pick her up this Monday!

Have fun! Wish I could fly up to get my car, but work and personal life are holding that back right now, thus they are putting it in an enclosed trailer to my door.

Also arivng on Monday!

Hoping this is just a coupe issue. If my sedan doesn't have folding mirrors, I won't take delivery. My garage width is very tight. Reaching across to fold mirrors would get very old very quickly!

Yes, well I'm stuck with a depreciating trade so I'm not able to "not take delivery" of a vehicle....

My folding mirrors are apparently NOT on my Sticker, so I'm not sure when they caught the error, during or post build, but if a retrofit is not possible, I'm going to be SUBSANTIALLY pissed.

These cars with P04 packages are expected to have power folding mirrors.
I will not be 1 of 10 vehicles in the USA with a Q04 package that I cannot get a value on (you see, they have decided to change the P04 package to a Q04 package for those missing components).
I've made some heavy demands of MB(USA) which indicates that they either build me a new vehicle, allowing me to drive the currently available vehicle when it arrives until the new build is available with all features available as ordered, they provide me a retrofit + cash + extended warranty + maintenance for the trouble of having to tear the vehicle apart for something that should have been build on the assembly line.

I too, thought MBZ was top of the line as far as customer service, etc., but giving me no choice in this and shipping me a CUSTOM car without an option that I CUSTOM ordered, seems counter-intuitive to me.

This is my first new Mercedes, second Mercedes in the family, from a long line of MB owners....

How they handle this will determine the future relationship.

Can I refuse delivery for no acoustic glass even though it should be standard but it seems September builds didn't get it?

I wouldn't refuse..
I would complain about wind and road noise and have service replace under warranty...

Are you guys in North America? I've ask about the acoustic glass for the c63s sedan and coupe and someone told me that it's not available for north america version.

Good luck with the pick up! Please take lots of picks on both your pick up and subsequent car journey.

Why is that a surprise? I know plenty of people with 3-series that spent 90k+ on theirs (M3/M4) loaded with options, MPE exhaust, M appearance parts, etc...

If you want cheap, buy a CLA or 2-series. The new C-Class and 3-Series have both moved upmarket and are much larger cars than their predecessors.

Wonder if that is possible in general without tearing whole car apart.

Emailed my salesman to ask about this issue, reported doesn't know for sure about my 10/14 build date car either way yet, but did have 1 coupe come to the dealership without the folding mirrors. Obviously this is out of the dealer's control, but what is under their control is what they do to make it right. This dealership gave the customer 4 years of free maintenance, which I think makes it right. Those of you who are getting essentially a "buy it or someone else will" attitude should take your business elsewhere. Can PM me if you want this salesman.

It's clearly not a mistake when they swap P03 package with this new "Q03". Intentional.

Funny how the build sheet was changed right after the car finished production.
Must have been intentional from the very beginning!

Anyhow, I was debating whether I should take delivery of my C43. I was going to let it slide since the rest of the car was so perfect. Until a base C Class (not even sport package) parked right in front of me. The owner locked the car with his little fingers and walked away with a smug face, the worst part was that the mirrors folded themselves. I swear it was like a stab to the heart when I saw it.

So I refused delivery today.

Yes, intentional.
And that's what makes it worse!

Well I called my salesman today and unfortunately my October 14th build is without folding mirrors, and has been changed from P03 to Q03. He told me Mercedes will offer a compensation package to offset the cost, last one got a choice of 4 years free maintenance or 3 year extended warranty. I have been waiting for this car for 5 months so this is a bummer. The folding mirrors I can probably live without, though it is a wide car. My bigger concern is resale value. When I go to turn this car in I can already see the difficulty of pricing a car with a q03 package.
