2017 C63S Coupe tire pressures, 19/20 Michelin PSS

My understanding is to reference the fuel filler door and not the sticker on the inside of the driver's door. My fuel door sticker shows I should be running 33 cold psi in front and 32 in rear with 2 passengers for speeds 0-155 mph. Am I interpreting this correctly? These values seem low. What is everyone referencing to and running in their new coupes??

Very interesting topic - There have been heaps on the sedan.

Mines, currently whatever the dealer had when it was picked up.

Currently I'm running it in so not sure if that is the correct pressure.

I think 44/39 seem more appropriate.

First thing I did when I got home was let some air out

Sanch, give it a try with the lower pressure. Personally I found the
ride a little too firm and the steering a bit twitchy at speed. After I let some
air out the car was MUCH more compliant, and it lost that high speed twitchiness on the steering.

Give it a try... if you don't like it, you can always put it back up

Cheers,
Scarafin

P.S. I don't remember the exact pressures, but I think I in the area of about 36-38

+1

I found the drive more pleasant when I let some air out. currently running at 38 / 33, last time I recall.

I had a chance to check it over the weekend... it was set to 36 all around

I've changed it to 40/38 see how that goes...

when my car was delivered I wasn't there and had to collect it 2 weeks after it arrived. So, the dealer had to store the car at their warehouse therefore they adjusted the air pressure for that period until I came back. Two weeks into driving my new c63, I felt the tires were hard as rock when I checked, they're 60 all around apparently they forgot to let the air out before I collected the car!

I was shocked to know that the suspension of the c63 was that stiff, it was a true disappointment

The pressures on the filler door are the correct ones. The one on the B pillar are maximum pressures that may be run but are not the "official" values for your particular make and model.

Finally got confirmation from the dealer and service department who have apparently spoken with Germany.

38 Front and 36 Rears.

They advised not to go over or else I'd be floating around the place haha...

Cars running much nicer now

Interesting. Unless you have >2 people total in the car, the fuel door states 33 front / 32 rear for the 19/20 setup. I would think 38/36 would ride really hard.

Important lesson for everyone to inform any tire shop when getting new tires. Oftentimes they just look at the doorsill values and aim for that by default.

I was told CA dealers have to put the pressure at the number on the door post that is way to high because the CA air quality board requires it to reduce rolling resistance and get better mileage.

On my sedan I run 38f and 33r
Ride is firm without going over recommendations and pressure jumps up several #s with just a little driving.

The ride was still better than my old car at those pressures, just brought them down to 36/34 can't wait to see what it's like tomorrow. I did notice the rear end was more loose than anticipated, I bet pressures near 60 weren't helping.
