Let's see the non-S's on 18" wheels.
Hello everyone. Newbie here. Last weekend I had the pleasure of test driving a new C63 coupe (non-S).
I currently have a 2015 F80 M3 and love the car to bits, the Mercedes test drive was on a bit of whim but the dealer was superb and happy to let me have the car all day.
So anyways... I kind of fell in love with the car, that engine is just something else, and the whole car, maybe with the exception of looks, pretty much wins out over the M3. I've noticed online that there is almost no reviews, tests or even mention of the non-S coupe. I really like the 18" wheels but again apart from the silver car I test drove haven't seen many cars with those wheels.
Spec wise I was thinking
Coupe non-S
Night pack
Iridium silver but I like all the colours
Performance seats
Premium package
Possibly carbon package 2

What spec have you gone for? I can't justify the full carbon pack but the spoiler and diffuser might be worth it.
If I do move I want a car before April 1st as that's when the new road tax rules come into play. He sticking point is that we have a 6 month old baby at the moment, it was doable on the coupe but it was a bit of a faff. Once she is forward facing it'll be easier.

Not to mention that the 19/20" wheels are £2500 over here on the non-S
There is the 19" star spoke ones at £500 extra...

You've pretty much ticked every option there, out of interest was it far away from "S" money... As the seats are included in that, and the wheels are much cheaper to spec on the S.
My thinking with the non S was to keep the options low, and away from the S.
Some of the delivery times are scary though, one dealer was quoting March delivery from now. My local dealer says he will be able to change an existing order to my spec..

Hi Colin it is more than a standard C63 S. But this option provided me with the perfect balance. I can always add more power by way of tuning if I feel 476 is not enough.
I was initially looking to buy an SLK 55, but they dropped the V8, so I had to increase
My budget substantially and pick a C63 instead. You've got to draw the line somewhere

My initial delivery was July, then September followed by November and now it's January.
I tried adding the Head Up Display, and that would have taken me into March 2017. Enough enough.

Not a coupe, but a non-S on 18s. Deal was much cheaper on a non-S for me, and I figured a remap and some BBS CI-Rs would take care of any upgraditis should I get it. Anyway, not the best pic, but here you go:

The saloon is nice too, though with having the M3 I may as well keep that.
Out of interest how is the sound? The coupe was quite aggressive pops and bangs which sounded amazing. I've heard the saloon and estate is a little less so?

The 18's are lovely in the metal, could have done with a 19' option in that design.

Yeah, they're my favourite wheels of all the designs available. They have a nice dish to them which none of 19s have, so I was happy to stay with them. You know, I think the S63 has the same design but in 19 inch—I wonder if they fit? (Edit to add: just noticed the c63 coupe edition 1 seems to have the same style wheels but larger too.) I do quite like the look of the BBS CI-Rs as well, but to be honest I think the 18s look nice enough anyway.

I wish. It was due to complete production last week. It's a sedan (I really needed those 4 doors) . I will definitely post when I pick up the car. Attached is a picture from MB USA website that will be close to what it should look like

Deep down I know the saloon (sedan) or the estate makes more sense..
It's just the coupe, those flares... Damn!
Polar opposite of BMW where the M3 saloon is much more aggressive than the M4 coupe.
Interesting to hear about your exhaust @Andyroo. There's some confusion over weather the performance exhaust is actually any louder, or if it just enables you to have it loud but in comfort mode for example.
Surely it's not the case of £1000 for a button and a valve?
