MCT 4th Gear Clunk
Is anyone else's transmission in the coupe "clunking" from shifting from 3rd to 4th in sport mode or sport + mode?

Doesn't always happen, but under soft throttle application during the change, the tranny seems to have a rough shift when going to 4th only.

Is this normal?

Yeah still in run in period. Will see how she settles in and escalate to hard throttle application

well if its in break in period, then this must be normal. happened to me at 3rd to 2nd then changed to 4th to 5th but eventually it all went away.

You are not actually supposed to go out of Comfort during the break in period tsk tsk

I would wait until it is run in before being concerned.

hahahahaha true ! but dude it was very difficult for me to stay in comfort for the full break in period , wanted to unleash the beast however, fortunately I managed to stay in C for the whole period

Same here. I'm making up for it now though. I'm at 1110 miles and of that the last 110 was spent in Sport+. However I am still being relatively gentle... (ish)..

2016 C450 AMG, 2009 C300, 2001 C320 2001 CLK430, 95 E500
My C450 does this -same or VERY similar 7G tranny from 4 to 5 mostly in S+, it does depend on the peddle application, it's more when decelerating and upshifting (it happens) or softer speed upshifting.

The C63S has a 7 spd. trans. with a wet multi plate clutch and not a fluid coupling.
The new C43 has a 9 spd. trans. with a fluid coupling and they are very different in use.
The older C450 has a 7spd. with fluid coupling.
