AMG C63 Coupe
Diamond white reviews
Hi All,
About to place an order for a c63 coupe but I'n indecisive on the color I want. There are next to no c63's where I live and the only way I can see a white one is by looking at photos online which don't justify the colors.
I would like to get everyone's opinion on the diamond white paint, as I have noticed that there are lots of reviews stating the color is creamy rather than pure white.
Is it better to get polar white for resale?
Does anyone think that diamond white looks more sporty than polar white?
Let me know what you would choose!
Would be great to hear from anyone that has seen the c63 coupe's in either color.
Many thanks!

Diamond white seems to be more of a creamy pearl white. Personally I didn't think it was different enough to get over polar white given the drawbacks. I've had a pearl white car before and it's impossible to color match if you ever need work done. Polar white if you need to fix a rock chip etc is easier. If you don't want refrigerator white though it's different enough

Really subjective topic. But one thing that I can tell you with confidence is that Diamond white is an off white color and does at times look slightly yellow. Of course it isn't obvious but put it next to BMW's Alpine White or Merc's Polar White and you'll see it for yourself. If anyone says otherwise they're simply in denial lol. But what do I know, I only had a '09 S class which was diamond white and my current GLS is diamond white.
Now which one looks more sporty? Again personal preference but when I see Cadillac off-white am I supposed to think of something sporty? Lolol. Pure white is white. It's timeless. People that call it cheap probably have ego issues and are sensitive about their social position amongst others. So they call Polar White 'cheap' to justify their purchase.
** waits for fanboys to get butthurt at my comment. It's fun to see them get wound up over a color.

Diamond white looks amazing in natural light. On a LCD monitor....meh.
Go check the colors on a dealer lot. Merc runs the designo diamond white and the polar white across multiple models. It's easy to find a side by side comparison on just about any MB dealership.

I have a polar white Range Rover. They call it Fuji White. My C63S Sedan is polar white.
Take it from an owner with both. Objectively the Diamond White looks better and more expensive / Unique.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
If I had a do over I'd get both cars in that diamond white. When I bought the Range Rover they did not have that color, but now they do. Ah next time..

You have some fairly extreme views Guilty ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
I'm getting deja vu with this thread![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As I mentioned in another thread and to answer the OP's questions from by subjective point of view.:
I would choose Diamond White over Polar White because it looks more interesting and unique. You see a few a UK roads but way more Polar White cars, my 2015 Golf R was Polar White.
I think Diamond White looks more luxury than sporty. I would avoid it on the AMG GT.
I originally ruled Diamond White out because of the problems matching when it gets damaged. My dealer, my detailer and the guy who fixes my occasional paint mishaps warned me about the difficulty matching the colour. Despite this I very nearly switched from silver to Diamond at the last minute. Pleased I went with Silver tho. it seems to work really well with the shape of the car especially down the sides and black/silver is a lot less common in the UK than black/white.

I'm still going back and forth between diamond white and polar white. Scared of the yellowish off white tint under certain lighting.
SBH - do you have more pics of your diamond white car?

I'm enjoying my diamond white, and being a little muted in tone means it doesn't look filthy as soon as you drive it. Under different lighting it looks very different, with the pearl in the paint showing off the curves nicely.
