Question weistec vs renntech for ECU tune on c63s coupe

As the title says which would you guys go with for ECU tune? I looked at Weistech and they give wheel horsepower totals that are respectful and Renntech gives motor totals which look great. not sure how theirs translate into wheel numbers which i would think they would post. I know my dealership works with Renntech so i probably wouldn't run into any warranty issues but does that justify the price difference?

I think that is a question that you need to answer. Is the peace of mind worth the extra cost to you. Also look into eurocharged. If I remember right they offer a warranty for the motor if their tune causes a catastrophe. But I would ask a lot of questions before relying on that. I'm not sure if weistec offers such a warranty.

The boss daily drives this car and we've had absolutely no problems with our tune on it. (All testing is done with this car.)

If I was you, do a search for feedbacks on both companies. One company with lot of negatives feedbacks and the other with no negatives feedbacks.

In my humble opinion:

There are other companies out there if you want the most power.

Renntech will never make a lot of power compared to the others, but their advantage is that they are dealer certified/approved.

What exactly does dealer certified/approved mean? The original warranty by MB is still valid with the tunes?!?!

No, it is not. Any dealer that installs Renntech is doing it on their own and covering any expenses on their own dime and is not reimbursed through MB like a regular warranty repair.

I see that about our the negative feedback for the one company stopped about a year ago. Seems like it was during a restructuring.
