Its here, I've joined the dark side!
Tested the new BMW M4CP which was great, but it just didn't "light my fire".
Waiting lists for the Alfa Giulia in the UK are massive and I was worried about resale values. Plus I wanted to move to a coupe.
The Porsche I wanted was out of budget this time (911 GTS).
But after a weekend in a dealers demo C63 I was hooked and a car was found close to leaving the factory that met my spec (minus the carbon trim console that I can fixed soon anyway). Deal done, car ordered.
After several delivery delays over Christmas my cars finally at the dealers!
Collecting this weekend.
Its going to be a long 48hrs...
I'll be updating this post with more pictures and first impressions (only driven a standard C63 to date) after collection.
New M 3/4 cars just dont have that same feeling due to engine even it's faster that the S65, and something with interior that turned me off completely. You won't regret your choice, enjoy it in a good health.
When I drove the C63 on test is was awesome, so I'm massively excited to get into this S version with a step up in power, performance seats, heads up display and a colour (I've not yet seen in the flesh)...

I had the same problem with delivery. First the 30th Dec, then 23rd, then 3rd Jan then 18th Jan and it arrives today. I really wouldn't put any trust in the Mercedes tracking system. However it seems if you have had 2 weeks delay then its most likely on its way.
I just had to remove myself from expecting it on a particular date and not plan anything around it arriving.
Best of luck with delivery!
I used the garage that have been doing an amazing job servicing my M3 for the last 5 years and the sales experience was terrible. The second dealer I went to was worse!
Spent more time filling out online forms than I did in a car.
Very sort test drive and never a sniff of getting a some type of deal as a returning customer.
Not the best way of treating a customer wanting to buy a £70K car!

Collection day was awesome! Car is now sat on my drive filthy after the drive back from the dealership on some great twisting county roads. She's going to get even more dirty today as the weather here is rain, rain and more rain and I'm keen to get the tyres and breaks run in. Then it's off to a friend's warm wherehouse for a full detail and matte sealant next week.
Have to say the sales experience from my dealership Mercedes-Benz Coventry UK was fantastic. From the first call to taking the cover off the car they were excellent. Not the biggest UK showroom but if you are in the UK and looking to buy speak with Tom thier AMG specialist.

Good to hear you had a good experience with your dealer as this is the 1st time I hear someone in UK is happy with Merc dealer.
I should be picking mine on Tuesday so cannot wait.
@jarda Actually very happy with my dealer, bent over backwards during the purchase and have been helpful ever since - Stafford Mercedes.
Me and few other mates live in London and had to order from else where (me Sheffield, Grimsby and others) due to shocking experience over here.
Perhaps see you on the road somewhere ;-)
