RaceChip has also had one since 2015, and just came out with new designed GTS Black chip this month for the C63S. Made in Germany, TUV approved, dyno tested, has Bluetooth/iOS/Android support, and can be had for $710 (non Bluetooth) or $760 (Bluetooth) with a 10% promotion they’re currently running.
It uses 5 sensors (same 4 sensors as Dinan, but with an additional 5th sensor for camshaft/timing).
Does it matter if the car is a base C63 or the "S"? Will they both have the same horsepower output after tuning? Look around and couldn't find an answer to this

It doesn't matter, because the C63S only has more power because of a factory Mercedes tune. The engine itself is the same.
Anyone with more dyno slips before / after their tune?
Better still a 1/4 mile run, no one has info on what to expect tune alone, I'm keen to run tune alone at the same track and same car I ran stock to compare.
Dinan or racechip seem like a good option for tune only.
I posted this in someone else's thread, but I'll repost it here:
I tried working with RaceChip (GTS Black) several times before ultimately deciding to go with Dinan. RaceChip sent me not one but TWO boxes that had the incorrect programming for the C63S (also, the bluetooth modules in both of their units failed out of the box). All the marketing in the world can't convince me that its worth going with a vendor that doesn't even bother checking or testing what software is in the box before they ship it out to be installed on a customers $90k AMG. It was a complete waste of time and a major hassle having to ship back and forth to Germany. I will give them credit in that they gave me a complete refund, including the cost to ship the box back to Germany twice. But their response was that it surely couldn't be their fault, and that I must have installed it incorrectly because they have "so many happy AMG customers". Well, Dinan installs the same way (and actually uses one less sensor than RaceChip) and what do you know - Dinan worked flawlessly.
Don't even consider RaceChip for this platform, spend your money wisely.

Good stuff man, your posts are really helpful. I was looking at RaceChip vs Dinan but going to stay away for now. I'm still split between doing a bench flash tune vs piggy back. I want to run catless downpipes for sure, but I guess I have some time to decide, the car at stock power levels is plenty.... for now.
anyone got bench flash but dealer flashed it over? I assume they still do maintenance but just no repair claims right? if any piggy back is within 10% to 20% of the gain, what's the benefit of bench flash?

I'm about too, but it makes me a bit scared seeing that the dealar MAY flash it over. Is this a misconception or could it happen? I'm hoping the modifications are done at such a low level of the code that a software update done by a dealer won't modify the flash done by a tuning company. Someone here with more knowledge on this?

I have just had a dealership service done.
I just tell the service adviser not to touch the ecu as I'm happy how the car is running.

Most tuning companies offer a warranty on this and will reflash free of charge.
I can't decide between Weistic or OE. Never had an Oe tune. They are both 150 miles from me and it seems OE is cheaper. Can anyone attest to the difference between the two that isn't a vendor? I had Weistec on my cla45 Amg before and once it settled in she pulled much harder. Id rather go for reliability over power. Any input guys? thanks!
Just got done installing the DINAN tune, took about 3 hours and boy does it feel good! Pulls significantly harder and tires break loose from a 10mph roll in S+ mode. I'd highly recommend this tune if you plan on staying Stage 1. It's plenty of power and you can always uninstall it and sell it later if you need. Thanks AutoTalent for the chip, I'm very satisfied with the power output (haven't dyno'd it) but you can definitely tell a difference in power (I disagree with AutoVlog's youtube video that you can't tell a difference, you defintiely can).
