Black Mercedes Hood Badge P/N
Hi, does anyone have this P/N? I hadn't seen it before and definitely wanted to order one. Also is it coupe or sedan specific? Thank you!

The part we ordered came in as the standard one we are use to. I was able to ordered another 1 however it is backordered from Germany. I will upload the part number once it arrives.
It does not come as part of the NSP.

I painted mine. $20 for the paint. The black chrome paint covers the blue back- ground paint, but how dark the chrome is, depends on how many coats you apply. Real easy to remove, just squeeze the clips together under the bonnet/hood. Here's a few pictures. The top emblem had four coats, which was too dark for me, so I bought another one, and went with three coats on the lower emblem. Hope this makes sense. I realize they aren't OEM emblems, but I tried ordering the black ones, with no success. This is an alternative.

Looks like there are a few avail... I guess this will fit w205, even though not explicit in description.

Hopefully this is the actual OEM part. Will post feedback when I receive it.

original post at the top of this thread (I have a C63S Coupé). The part # in the above eBay link is A000 817 1801... I believe there are a couple of different sizes of these, each with slightly different mounts, and fitting different models/MY .. It's hard to say what fits what. I guess between you and I we will see what works and what doesn't.

A0008171701 is the correct part #
Even though the eBay listing listed the w205 as a compatible vehicle, I double checked with the seller and he confirmed through my VIN that I ordered the wrong part. The correct part number is A0008171701 which is what kck77 had provided.
The ebay seller is sold out of that part at the moment so I will try my local dealer. For some reason I thought the local dealer would've marked up this part. Thanks kck77!

If the attached pictures is any indication, the W204 uses the A000 817 1701 Badge Part # ... now, I am not sure if these badges are body style specific i.e: coupe or sedan, and I cannot tell if the vehicle in the attached pictures is a Coupe or Sedan. His profile picture from an EU Mercedes Forum, where I found this info, only shows the front quarter of the car. Hope this helps.
**Also to note: I have found that Part # A000 817 1701 is made in the Czech Republic, where as A000 817 1801 is made in Germany.
