Upshift Indicator Not Working in Manual

When driving in manual, the upshift indicator bar that appears above the head-up display and above the instrument cluster does nothing. The bar remains blank. Has anybody experienced this? Is there something I need to set up or switch on to make it work? It is supposed to go from green to yellow to red to show optimum shifting conditions. This is a 2017 C63S. Thanks.

Hi,

I don't think this works on Sedans if that's what you have? Mine has never worked and isn't shown in any sedan owners manuals.

The shift lights only start to appear as you get close to the redline when you're pulling hard through the the gears as RDOCA mentioned. (a ^UP will also appear in the display when you hit the Redline,)

RDOCA and Trim105 nailed it. Ran it hard this morning and lit it up. If you don't light up the indicator, you're not driving fast enough!

See I searched, LOL
I have been wondering about this, but I only have 650 miles on mine, so in another 500 miles I will find out if it works on a Sedan

I got over 700 miles on it now so got on it a little more today, didn't go all the way to redline, but at about 5000 rpms it started working
