Can always do a secondary cat delete, it's what I am doing until I got stage 2
are you comfortable with using whatever grade metal your shop decides to throw together? im sure theres a reason why aftermarket options are so much money, banging together any piece of bent metal is doable but id have to imagine its the quality of the pipe that makes it pricey.

Armytrix do 200 race Catted Downpipes with Ceramic coating. I think I paid about $3,500 AUD.
You would be best advised to go ahead with an ECU tune as that will unlock the additional power from the new downpipes and exhaust you have fitted. The engine mixture will be incorrect if do not do an ECU tune.
I've purchased catless 2 piece downpipes and plan on having new lower pieces manufactured with Gesi cats if the downpipes with the AWE Track Edition exhaust prove to be loud.
