Downpipe Questions
I've just received my 2 piece catless downpipes back from being ceramic heat coated (black on the outside and solve inside) and just wanted to know if I can have these fitted at my local exhaust shop then drive my car 100kms to the shop that will pull my ECU for tuning?
I know catless downpipes will through a CEL but honestly I don't know what this actually means or how it effects the cars drivability.
Any help and info will be greatly appreciated...
Pictures below of pipes uncoated and coated rated to 1100+ degrees celsius.
Insides have been done in silver which apparently will aid in flow???
So once the tune is done the yellow light will then reset no issues???
I'll post more pics when I put them together.
I mentioned in another post that if the downpipes prove to be to loud with my AWE Track Edition Exhaust I'm going to get lower pieces of the downpipe fabricated with GESI cats so I'll be able to have catless and catted.
Getting close now...

I've decided to go for OE Tune for a few reasons
1. It's slightly safer as the max power output is not as much as other tunes
2. OE is well known (internationally) and only have one authorized dealer that does it in Australia (BMR in Sydney- Lucky for the folks in Syd)
3. I've not heard of any issues with anyone
4. VIC55 - Advised he has done the OE tune on multiple cars he has owned, he has had no issues whatsoever and the tune brought out the best in each car - He also knows the owner well
Just my reasons behind my decision. If you're after MAX power HP/ KW the latter is a better option.
Here is a GTS at BMR after cat-less DP and OE tune - at the wheels

Whats OE advertising kw and nm at the wheels?
The graph you've posted looks like 364 kw standard with 408 kw tuned giving a 44 kw difference over stock.
There seems to be a massive difference in the base line reading from my posted graph showing 278kw to your graph of 364kw.
Ghats 86 kw difference between baseline figures, why such a big difference (both dyno dynamics dyno's)?
Ive booked my car in for a couple of dyno runs before going to stage 2, I wonder where it records compared to the above two figures???
i don't want it to be too loud thats my fear

The dyno graph showing 375.8 kw is at the wheels.
Please correct me me if I'm wrong.

It would be good to see the figures here. I'll post it up in a few weeks

I'm not doing DP only the OE tune - I'm quite happy with the sounds without the secondary cats.
But keen to see the gains with catless DP - I think its around 20hp extra.
