Is there a exhaust valve fuse?

Is there an exhaust valve fuse for the performance exhaust?

Are you trying to pull it to disable them? I don't believe it's that simple.

No I am not. I put an ipe exhaust on my car and it went into limp mode because it does not use the factor valves so I plugged the actuators up and zip tied them so it wouldn't go into limp mode and it worked for a little while and then quit. So just seeing if I popped a fuse.

If they are no longer attached to flaps, they probably overextended and burned up. Happens with the a/c actuators in the dash.

I'm surprised it will cause a limp mode situation just from the exhaust flaps, but I guess it could be technically emissions related. Silly of benz to make something that small capable of killing power.

If nobody on here has an answer, i'll look it up tomorrow at work.

Thank you I would really appreciate that I have tried myself and can't find anything.

Did any one find the 2016 AMG GTS Exhaust Module fuse? I a posting my question below that I posted somewhere else but got no response.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2016 AMG GTS 20K MILES

Hi all, I read your posts and wanted to share my problem as well. Bought the car stock, no problems with the light on the exhaust button on console.
Went to a performance shop, installed ARMYTRIX CATLESS DOWN PIPES, Approx 1 month or 250miles later, the exhaust RED light turns on when I start the car, but when I out it in drive (S+ or manually press it) the light goes off. Whats odd is, i can tell the sound gets louder and quieter when i press and press it again (although the light is not working, the sound changes). I have also notices a slight performance drop in the car's acceleration.

Was wondering installing a catless downpipe, would there be a vacuume issue ( I assume thats how these flaps are controlled) or any other issue. I just spent 4.5k (2K on catless DP and 1k install + 1500 for a stage 2 tune heinz-performance) I dont want to or can't really change the entire exhaust or muffler part again)

Wanted to check if the sound is changing then the system is working? or should i take it back to the shop who installed the catless downpipes and have them check the valves/vacuum if the flaps are moving)
I am just confused, if the sound is changing (although the light is not coming on) do you guys think the system is working "mechanically"?

Any and all help is appreciated. I did see some error code on the NTG5 Command module, but wasn't quick enough to take a picture or write it down.

Short circuit, is this why the flaps keep blowing?

HI, I have had the active exhaust module replaced twice (after i got a heinz stage 2 tune and put catless downpipes). I just got the new actuators and they were blown in 30 mins. Attached is the diagnostic before the tech replaced the flap actuators. It does show some short circuits. Do you guys think this is why it keeps blowing? How do i fix it? or just take them out?

Got the same problem, Tech's notes says "EXHAUST FLAP 2 HAS A SHORT CIRCUIT TO THE GROUND." PDF ATTACHED. I am wondering if I can check the fuses in the car and replace the fuse for the ACTIVE EXHAUST. This is my second burn on the modules and i have spent good money on them now, but the new ones went away too. No light in the center console for the A. Exhaust. But if I don't drive the car for 2 weeks, it comes back.. but after driving for about 30 min or if I really push the car it goes away.

I have a similar issue with my C63 and would love to know if anyone has been able to figure this out. My car has been stuck in limp mode for months after installing an aftermarket exhaust that works pneumatically, replacing the factory valves. Haven't been able to fix the issue even with the AWE module trick maybe because my car is FL.

the people who installed the exhaust checked the valves and were the ones that plugged in the AWE module trick pieces however during the initial installation they must have triggered a soft limp that hasn't been able to be cleared as the car still says the valves are malfunctioning or I believe in one case they said shorted to positive

right I’ve had mine in the garage so these guys are the best with amgs where I am and deal with all sorts so they’ve recommended buying the exhaust emulator which is the same as the rentech design and get the exhaust valves coded out and that should do the trick apparently theirs no other way to do it if you get the valves coded out and don’t install emulator (rentech) car still triggers itself into a soft limp
