Did it, but didn't do a guide....
You must ensure you use a adhesion promoter or a plastic primer.

Oh god no, LOL.
Dealer removed and reinstalled.

Tip: multiple VERY LIGHT COATS.
Do not do what instructions on paint say.
Cover with light coats until completely covered, then just one more light coat

I applied a clear afterwards, same technique.
Too much paint is BAD!!!!

I was thinking of now leaving the strip silver but painted the MBZ star gloss black instead.

It's easy, assuming you don't have any of the radar cruise stuff...

yeah the star comes out very easily. taking off the entire silver grill with the fins is a bit more difficult. there are numerous hard to reach tabs you have to work to get it out without breaking any. i ended up snapping a few when i replaced mine with a CF one.
also just doing the start in black may look strange. i messed around and wrapped mine a few months ago just to see how it looked. just kind of looked like a black hole to be honest. i will see if i can find some picture on my home computer and post it.

We're you able to get the silver grill out without taking anything else off?

That's why I didn't wrap the entire star on mine, just the surround.
I couldn't get to the entire star anyway, with the radar cruise behind it (they enclose the center of the star in plastic).
