UPD C63 M177 Induction kits
#56
Hi Can you pm me the price+shipping to Ontario, Canada? Thanks. I also have few questions, do they void my warranty?(I assume they won’t) Is it possible to choose black colored spacers? Roughly how much more air in percentage is added by this kit? Thank you

While the idea of bolting a plastic spacer onto the car equaling horses and foot lbs of torque is a nice thought I am willing to bet the silence here is indicitive of the actual difference this makes.

Everyone put it on, and then they were going to dyno it and report back. Then radio silence.
Probably making less power than before, so they reached out to the manufacturer to sort it out and that's taking forever to resolve.
And until it gets sorted, no one wants to bad mouth the manufacturer online because then they'll never get it sorted out.

I didn't want to say it, but this is what I've been thinking.

Or maybe, just MAYBE, the type of people that are shelling out $90k for a car have careers, and families, and other things that keep them from making time to book several hours at a tuner that's likely only open M-F, and maybe a Saturday morning if you're lucky.

I see what you're saying skro; however, I'm going with the plastic spacer added so much torque that it blew the rollers off of the dyno.

Yet we all find time to do all sorts of other things...like install the intake in the first place. LOL

It's not a plastic spacer; it's a pair of nicely anodized aluminum spacers.
I did say I was going to get mine on a dyno, and did. However, my dyno was done as part of additional prototyping and I was asked not to share the dynos (unrelated to UPD spacers). The spacers were tested and while we did see a bit of positive variance, we didn't get enough pulls to get a definitive amount outside of standard margin of error. However, one thing to note: I already had high-flow filters prior to testing the UPD spacers+filters. We did not test stock OEM filters.
All that said: if you've got stock filters in yours, this wouldn't be a bad upgrade as it includes high flow filters. If you already have high flow filters and any semblance of a tune, you might need to go with a full airbox and turbo upgrade to see significant results.
