C63S AMG
New Grill

Just picked up my 2018 C63S Coupe and I am loving it as a daily driver. Already ordered my pilot AS3+ tires to drive in Winter (no snow). Amazing car.

Quick question. When I picked up my car, the new E63S was just dropped off at dealership. Car is beautiful and they had 2 (edition 1 and a regular build). The best part aesthetically speaking was the new design of the grill. The car looks so aggressive.

Is that new style AMG grill going to make its way down to the C63 for 2019 and, if it does, will it be able to retrofit to the 2017 and 2018 models?

First of all, great choice going for the coupe, enjoy in good health!

Regarding the grill, the 2019 C63 facelift will receive pretty much the same front end as the new S63 coupe facelift (apart from different headlights) which is itself derived from the AMG GTR's front end. Quite different to the E63S grill.

C63S Sedan
It will likely entail an entire bumper swap

That said, im not a fan of the new bottom portion on that S-AMG...

I do like the panamerican grill... prefer the current bottom portion on our bumpers.

From these spyshots seems there'll be a minor re-sculpt of the rear bumper. Also notice the new headlights (they look similar to the S-Class saloon facelift headlights minus the 2 extra daytime led strips).

Rumour has it the engine will be uprated to 550HP like the GTC and of course the new 9 Speed MCT will replace the current 7 speed.

The front bumper/ lights & the rear bumper/ lights will most definitely be updated. Along with small interior updates.

I'm more keen to know exactly what engine/transmission updates they will make in the face-lift.

This grill looks a bit busy IMO - It looks better blacked out with the floating star. Just like the current grill.

Does anyone know if it will have an updated dash like the E63 with integrated screen instead of the "stuck on" ipad look?

This interior from the GLC F-Cell concept is pretty much it bar a few changes. Display is still 'stuck on' but wider, possibly 10.2"+, looks pretty good actually, but the amount of unused bezel left still bothers me like the current screen does. Also the digital speedo will have a more AMG 'themed' look and the steering wheel will be the new AMG one that debuted with face-lifted S AMG models. I'm glad they're keeping the tubular dual gauge look we currently have instead of just the flat screen like in the E and S. Looks sportier this way.

I dislike these mid generation refreshes. I am ordering a 2018..but now do I wait for this update? hmm... I don't want to have a new car that looks outdated within 3 months, lol.

Buy a 2017 and save or wait for 2019 cause then you'll always be regretting.
