C63s sedan with coupe wheels

Hi guys this probably has been asked before, but I can get my hands on a set of coupe 19/20 black multi spike rims. I’m just concerned about the offset on the front rims, do you guys think it will be fine. What size tyres do you recommend for the front I was thinking 265/35/19 and on the rear going 295/30/20. What do you guys suggest as the car is standard, I’m mainly thinking of going to the coupe rims just to get larger tyres on the rear for more grip as I’m going tune and down pipes soon as I’m struggling with grip stock on the 265/35/19 super sports

one thing's for sure, you can go up to 285/35 on the rear stock wheels. my wheels are stock and I went 285/35 r and 265/35 f and its a massive improvement !

Did you end up getting the couple wheels on your sedan?

How did it turn out?

i'm no expert and i'm a month into ownership. But i've been looking at wheels too, and as far as i understand its the front that you cannot go with coupe wheels on. Every wheels guy/gal that i've talked to has told me that it's a no-go from coupe-to-sedan. Might just be cuz they're trying to sell me wheels, but i ended up going with:
Vorsteiner
(F) 20x9 -- 245/30/20
(R) 20x10 -- 285/30/20

Will let you know how it goes once they arrive if you're interested.

sedan: 8.5Jx19 ET38 / 9.5Jx19 ET56
coupe : 9Jx19 ET25 / 10.5Jx20 ET57
Fronts probably won't work. 18mm(ET) + 6.35mm(1/4") = 24.35 mm further out
Rears should be ok. 1mm(ET) + 12.7mm(1/2") = 13.7mm further out. 11.7mm further in.

I just picked up a set of Coupe wheels for my sedan.

Trial fit the 20x10.5 et57 rears this morning which look good but clearance will depend on tyre selection I think.

Deffinately want at least 295’s on the rear and would be awesome if 305’s would work on my sedan and Michelin PS4S’s of course.

Haven’t tried the fronts yet but I will and post some pics once fitted so everyone can see what the offset looks like on a sedan.

Could possibly look at machining to make fit??? Thoughts...

If the fronts don’t work out sedan front 8.5’s will have to do.

Will be interested in see what 20/19’s will look like on my sedan, wish there was a factory fronts in 20’s in this wheel.

Well I’ll let me know what you all think.

The only way you'll fit a 295 ( if you can ) is running a 25 series tire..... A 30 probably won't work . The 25 diameter is smaller and you'll need that to clear, The problem with the sedan is the tire usually hits the rear bumper cover right where it joins the 1/4 panel and there is a tab on the inside it will rub . This also depends on if you are lowered and how low you are . I'm was running 20x10.5 +50 w/ a 285/30/20 and it hit on bumps / dips . I than went to a 20x10 +57 and I just have enough room and I am lowered . Fitting the 295 is going to be tight but it will have to be a 25 series , 305 forget it unless your stock height

Does anyone now what the best offset (sedan) is needed on the front for a 19x9”???

Can a et25 be machined to fit or does it require spacers?

Not it sure how offsets work, should probably research it, lol.

I'm running 19x9.5 +32 , You'll need spacer's to add to the +25

+32 will work , it will be a 1/2" less than what I run which is ok because mine rub the inner wheel opening when turned lock to lock

I run a 295 on stock wheels and lowered with KW V3 Coilovers. Lol

Same, 295/30/19’s on factory 9.5’s.

But 295/30/20’s have a larger diameter (27”) compared to the 19’s (26”) I think.

So the 295/30/20 will be physically larger inside the wheel arch so clearances will be less.

yes but not a 20" . I ran 285/35/19 with room to spare but with the 20" it gets tight

Thats why you need to go with a 25 not a 30

Very true. I'd think it would be close. May have to shave the plastic nut holding your lining, raise the car a bit if it is lowered

25 profile is the incorrect load rating for the car though.

Ill have ave to start sifting through all the threads to see what other sedans on 20’s are running.

Ok, just come in from trialling the front coupe wheels on my sedan.

When I put a straight edge on the wheel it is only just so slightly inside the front guard lip.

Deffinately no spacers required.

I think these may fit.

I think the sidewall is going to really hang out on the front ,maybe a 1/4 -1/2" depending on what tires you go with and the size of the bead protector

Not yet, probably tonight.

Had the factory coupe tyre fitted back on the wheel yesterday to trial fit - Continentals 255/35/19 I think.

If the wheels/tyres fit, which I think they will, I’ll fit my 265/35/19 PS4S on them.

Having a hard time sourcing a used or dead 295/30/20 for trial fitment purposes, I don’t really want to go and buy two new tyres to find out they don’t fit.

So so if there’s anyone in Brisbane following this thread who has a spare or dead 295/30/20 pm me if I can borrow it for a couple of days.

285/30/20 is factory I think but I really need a 295 as this is what I want to run.

If 295’s don’t work I won’t fit the wheels...

My 265/35/19’s I have fitted to my factory 8.5’s fit really well so I’m hoping they will fit better on the 9” wheel.
