And even if it did, that rating is under ideal conditions, meaning sea level, 68ºF, etc. Don't know how that gimmicky gauge works, but excluding the not insubstantial driveline losses, you lose about 3% power for every 1K' in elevation alone. And then you have other factors like gas quality and octane rating, etc. If you used a different gas station, it could be the issue. If car feels right, I wouldn't worry about that gauge.
