Would You Do It?
Leftover '17 C63 Sedan. MSRP of ~$75K. Negotiated price of $60K. Sales Mgr's words - "We want this gone...!".
No brainer, right? Only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is that it's not an 'S' model. Someone tell me I must be nuts for not running down to the dealership to sign paperwork tonite...

that's a very decent amount of discount. I had one built from the factory (£80k with road tax, got it for £65k) so that discount is in the same ballpark.

That is what guys with a non S say to make themselves feel better
You don't get the dynamic engine mounts--you miss out on the electronic differential--You get 469 HP instead of 503 --you get 479 ft lbs of tq instead of 516--You don't get 19 in wheel and tires that costs 700 to add--You don't get leather seats that cost 2590 to add--You don't get the larger brakes--
You don't get a race mode on the dynamic control and race start and probably others things I forgot as this is just off the top of my head.If you add leather and wheels on the non S it is only $4300 less than S and all the other items you can't get at any price except the HP with a tune.

hmmmm, just for you guys information, despite the horsepower and torques differences as we all know, they also have the following differences:
1. non-s model has the mechanical differential lock, while the s model has the electronic differential lock.
2. non-s model has smaller brake calipers and they are painted in silver
3. s model has RACE mode in dynamic selections while the non-s model doesn't.
4. non-s model has 18" wheels by default, while s model has 19" wheels by default, and of course, you can simply choose the 19" wheels option for non-s model.

Speaking as an S owner, if you don’t care about or need the extras the S comes with, go for it. Although, I bought my S with more of a discount off of MSRP than what you’re getting, albeit for a higher final price. But I also bought used - 2017 with 7k miles. Go find a used one.

I checked Autotrader the other day; there were five leftover 2017 C63 S. Be willing to fly somewhere and drive it back, email them all, negotiate a deal, and get the S.

Non-S and S have the same size brakes. I drove both back to back and couldn't justify the price premium for the S model, so I'm happy with my non-S. I don't care about dynamic engine mounts and an e-diff on a 4k+ pound car (granted, I have a GT3 RS for real driving fun). It really isn't that big of a difference. S owners will justify their purchase as will non-S owners. If you like it, and you're happy with the numbers, go for it.

Yikes, guys, everyone has different tastes and requirements! Can’t we all just get along? Like I said earlier, if none of those features matter to the OP, go for it! If you think you might regret it, don’t rush the decision!
At any rate, both the C63 and C63S are beautiful cars.
