If you don't use a phone case, this works great:
http://www.mountek.com/shop/categori...gift-packaging

If you do use a case, you can put the included metal plate between your phone and the case and use this:

I would stay away from CD mounts because in my experience with two different CD mounts, they are not very stable. Not enough of the mount goes into the slot is why it is not stable. They did it so that a CD can stay be used. After couple of mounting the phone and unmounting, it becomes loose. So I would stay away IMHO.

Instead I bought this one
Amazon Amazon

Remember if you have wireless charging back, you may want to stay away from the magnetic sticky ones. So the iOttie mount would really well for me and very very stable.

I notice for the C63S, the CD slot is glossy and not as grippy as my M3 and my wife's Benz which have a more "textured" CD slot mount.

That being said, I just tighten the mount a little extra and make sure it's "straight in" after putting my phone in. It's never fallen off while driving.

Proclip makes very good model specific device holders for our Mercs.
Love mine - very sturdy and looks factory.

Agreed, the ProClip mount for the W205 is excellent. It's relatively inexpensive too (<$30), you can easily find 10-15% coupon codes online.

You don't need to purchase the expensive ProClip holders either, I coupled it with a magnetic mount (magnet adheres to the ProClip arm) that can also be easily found on Amazon (<$10) for a very sturdy mount. No fumbling with clipping the phone in or anything like that. Routed the cable discreetly from inside the armrest and it works great.

I thought about ProClip as well, it looks like a nice option.

Which version did you guys choose?

Item: 855058 for Models with "Woodgrain" panels (I have the Carbon Fiber dash, so I would assume this would be my version)
OR
Item: 854996 for Models NOT with "Woodgrain" panels.

I have the CF dash as well and went with 854996 (models NOT with woodgrain). Not sure what the exact difference is between the 2, but it clips underneath the CF panel. Maybe the gap is smaller with the woodgrain dash?

I have been using a CD holder that works great for my Iphone X. I tried a few of them and liked this one the best as it is small and holds the phone secure.

I use the Kenu Airframe+:
Amazon Amazon
. Works perfectly, very stable. I place it in the center console air vent, the left-most one (closest to the steering wheel), making the phone readily accessible. And I still have the two air vents to the right of it to use.

Use one in my truck daily & the wife's E63 daily. Even jumping my truck, I don't have problems with the phone flying off.

I bought a Kenu AirFrame+ for my mom's car, it's one of the best reviewed mounts for the air vent.

The spring is really strong, but the drawback is that you always need two hands to get the phone in and out of the holder.

The advantage of the CD mounted holder is that you can pull it out with one hand, do what you need to do and then slide it back in with one hand. If this isn't part of the way you use your phone, the AirFrame+ would be a great option!

I never use both hands. I can easily place and remove the phone with 1 hand. The "technique" I use is, make sure it's installed so the side that expands is to the right (I'm right-handed). To place in mount, rest phone against the right side (that expands) and push slightly to the right, while pushing back (into the mount). The right edge of the mount will expand to the right until the phone clips into the holder. To remove, I have middle or ring finger on the right edge, and apply slight pressure (to expand the right side) while using my index finger to pull the phone forward, and thumb to stabilize the left edge of the phone and clip. Clip stays in place, and the phone is readily released into my hand.

Just my $0.02...

I am liking the CD mount a lot.
Placement is perfect from how I sit. Don't have to reach for it and it's ideal when I am playing around with my Dragy.

Bluetooth audio quality is inferior to connecting via a wired connection. Not worth the trade off, IMO.

Just replaced my current CD mount with this one.

https://www.iottie.com/Product/Detai...-CD-Slot-Mount

This one's very solid and doesn't slide out at all. Also, it goes in and out of the mount super easily! Would definitely recommend this!

The red part is the original product output by the 3D printer. Also, I have diverted part of XVIDA and AIRSNAP.
