Wheel offsets
Hey im looking into getting some new wheels for my 2016 c63s sedan. Dont have too much of a budget so im looking into some rotary forged wheels possibly. Looking for some help as to whether a 9.5" rear with +40 offset would fit just fine? I believe OEM offset is +56 so hoping its not too aggressive. I'll probably being putting new rubber in the back aswell, most likely 285/35/19 so hoping it wont rub. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You should be fine with +40.
My winter wheels are +35 in the back, but since they're winter tires, they aren't 285 wide.
Still, never anywhere close to rubbing.

Thank you! Very reassuring to hear you are running +35. Im assuming it would be a different story if i were to go with a wider wheel. Thank you for the response.

I have a sedan with an 11in rims in the rear. Its 19x11 +55 with 305/30/19. The fronts are 19x9.5 +25 with 255/35/19. I would say for the rears, you shouldn't go any more aggressive than what I have unless you are going crazy with camber and lowering with coil-overs and adjustable lower and upper control arms. If you are looking into getting 9.5s in the rear, I recommend +36 ~ +42. You can look at my thread regarding 11s if you are interested.

Thanks for all the replies guys and the images for visuals. I think ill be sticking with 8.5" and 9.5" rims in the front and rear, same as oem. Would I be able to go +25 in the front on an 8.5" wheel? The wheels im looking at right now are out of stock in +35 and they only have +25. I dont have a big budget so I wont be able to go forged =/

If you go with cast wheels, make sure the shop you go to "guarantee's" the wheels will fit.
I had a shop that said a set of cast wheels would fit for my winter wheels and the drop lip (added for strength since the wheel was cast) was touching the brake caliper.
They gave me back my money and ordered another set (the ones in the picture) that fit perfectly.

Hey just a quick question if someone can help me, if i were to go upto 10.5" in the rear, would a +45 offset work? Also I would be increasing the fronts to 9.5", would a +35 be better or a +40? Thanks.
Also, I spoke with a sales rep who was selling me the wheels and he claims they will not clear my calipers, now I am unsure if they will or will not. Any ideas why this could be?

Your rears will poke out with +45, if you are ok with that. For the fronts I have +35 and it is at it's limit. Don't think +40 would work as you are pushing it in and you will hit the knuckle. Just for reference I have the following setup on my sedan: 19x9.5 et +35 (265/35/19) front and 19x10.5 et +57 (285/35/19) w/ stock height.

I have 19x9.5 with +25 in the fronts. Although I do have -3.2 degrees of camber in the front. 10.5 inch wide wheels with +45 offset probably won't work. I have 11 inch wide wheels with +55 (which is equivalent to 10.5 +49) with -2.6 degrees of camber. Unless you plan to lower your sedan with a coil-over and not springs and modify the control arms, 45 offset probably wont work.

Would your setup work if you were lowered?

I'm not 100% sure if there will be issues if lowered or not. I don't plan to lower as NYC is the worst. Lets just say that it's paper thin on the inside. I'm going to get an alignment and hopefully get a clearer picture of how much I have or not have.

you'll still have about 8~12mm of clearance in the inside, you can go wider or more aggressive if you want XD
