W205 c63s transmission crunch sound
Hi all
Does anyone experience the crunch sound coming from transmission when put from park to drive in the morning cold start?

Thanks for reply, but my car is over warranty.so I’m not thinking to take back to the dealer,just want to see if anyone got the same issue . Besides, the car runs well and smooth nothing strange .

That doesn't sound good . How many miles/ kilometers are on the vehicle ? Have you had the transmission serviced by a dealer regularly ? How often do you use race mode/ or launch control ?
Problem is they don't sell parts for the transmission only complete units which means "expensive" unless you can find a used transmission .

I’ll try to warm up a bit more to see if this issue disappears. This sound is like when park on the hill without using the handbreak straight to P position . And the next time put into Drive , the clutch crunch.

In my hand I haven’t launch the car and always in comfort mode.
Ill try to warm up abit more. Let the fluid go through the transmission to see if it reduce to happen.

johny, take it to the dealer and ask them to analyse the problem and quote on rectification. At least you will know what is wrong and it won't cost you anything other than a little time to find out without obligation.

after fews days of trying to warm up more time during morning cold start. This crunch sound is gone. I have also try to warmed up and shut down and start again put into park and then drive. No strange sound.

it didnt happen every time .and hasn’t got any louder . But I noticed that it would only happen when I didn’t warm up in the morning . Like start engine and drive straight away without any warm up.

Foot on brake release "park" brake first then into gear never any noise. I found myself putting the car in gear then release parking brake and crunching noise would happen.especially when on an incline.
