C63s audio goes up and down. What could be wrong?
I really need some help, its driving me nuts on long road trips where id love to listen to music on high volume.
I have a C63S with the standard audio system and the sound is really acting weird while driving..
its like the sound goes down and up within the same song track without me adjusting the volume ankotingly (feels like that). This happens specifically when the music has alot of bass / deep bass with high volume suddenly lowers the overall music volume and then it come back up when bass isnt as much present.
I have checked all possible settings; the equalizer in the car is already midtone -10 which is a must.. I have tried the enhancement of volume setting/volume boost m and also turned off the volume adjustmnet under system settings which I hoped would fix this.
funny thing is that its perfect audio sound when standing still. Does this car not like music being played when exhaust note is playing outside, lol..
what could be wrong? Is any speakers blown from the previous owner?

Thanks, that setting is already off.
My issue is kind of different and not that the volume increases with speed and lowers. It’s worse; driving 60-70mph steady, play a song with some bass like DJ Khaled - Wild thoughts and the audio will go crazy turning everything down when the bass hits and then up again in the few seconds without bass and then again.. sounds horrible so you cant have high volume in the car...

This is a shot in the dark but does your car have navigation and if so perhaps it has been set to a destination with voice volume to nil or really low. it probably isn't the case but if nothing else works, maybe it is worth checking whether the navi is set to some spurious destination and the vehicle keeps trying to guide you there. the music volume decreases on my car as the lady chimes in about where I should turn next.
Lastly I wonder if has some sort of audible warning when you're exceeding the speed limit but the volume of that part is turned down. complete shots in the dark and probably not the case but I cant think of anything else

Thanks for trying! I got nav but no directions set or anything like it from the nav. Also no speed limit warning interfering. This is 100% matching with the music being played where bass lowers the audio and then makes this crazy up and down volume feeling like the bass cant be handled or something?..

205 design uses body spaces to enhance bass, part of front bass system. Front quarter panels and I think under the doors. Could it be that there’s air current entering those spaces and affects the sound when driving? This could explain why sound is normal at standstill.
It is discussed that when a body shop does repair on various panels that may be also responsible for sound enhancement that distortion occurs when the repair was not considered for these spaces within body panels.
