Fitting C63 edition 1 bodykit- tips needed

Just ordered the full edition one kit from merc. Pleasantly surprised that it’s all come painted gloss black, as was told by supplying dealer certain bits would come in primer. Result.

Anyhow, I’ve seen the thread regarding the front spoiler so should be fairly simple.

Any tips on fitting the following,

rear flicks without drilling into bodywork

rear diffuser, does this mount over the original diffuser?

and side sills... I’ve heard they may just fit over original? Any one done this? Surprised to have 3 bits in kit. Inner bit and outer bit obvious but what’s the short third bit ?

Not been able to offer side sill parts up against the car yet as car with dealer having diff oil running in service.

Any tips or links to threads appreciated.

Hi there

Regarding rear diffuser yes, you mount it over the original. What I am missing from your pic is the two small pieces that fit under the tail pipes...Not sure if the side sills fir over the original, but does not sound about right, but again I din´t change that so not sure

Did you have the carbon package all around the car?

Hi, not sure what you mean by 2 missing pieces? If it’s the rear diffuser the long bit wraps around the tail pipes pictured?

Am am I right in saying for the rear diffuser if you fitted it you would be screwring into the original diffuser so un reversible if needed? I presume you remove the middle original trim piece? ( gloss black currently)

No carbon I’m afraid. I’m pondering if I should wrap the top bit of the original diffuser gloss black to match?

I mean the right and left trim, I attached a pic for your reference. Yes you just need to remove the middle gloss black trim piece

I was asking about the carbon package because you are also fitting the side sills and they are gloss black. I have the carbon package amd thats why I didn´t change the side sills, and also together with the gloss black diffuser insert looks fantastic.

So if you can, at least wrap the top in gloss black, will look much better!

Ah, I think you mean these small bits that we’re hiding at the bottom of the box.

All of my bits are gloss black so will match the wing mirrors and other night pack bits on the car. I’d of loved to have gone all carbon but just silly expensive !

Nobody fiited the side skirts on here?

I am about to receive the ed1 side skirts. Will let you know once fitted, but was told that you need to remove the current ones and install the ed1

Yes, let me know. I was told they may just stick over the originals. From a very quick test fitvthis seemed plausible.

Not sure. I understand the edition 1 comes with that side skirts with nothing under them from factory. So remove our current sides to fit the ed1 would make more sense...

Guess we will find out. The last pic in my first post shows the side sill kit. It has an inner part that I guess you would need to remove and replace and presumably is bigger than standard, but the new Ed 1 side sill does have double sided tape so you would just be sticking it to the new inner part, therefore in my head you may as well stick it to the original sill. The new sill definitely fitted over the orignal one fine and looked to line up perfectly. I didn’t unpeeled any of the tape so difficult to tell if there would be enough contact to secure but looking at the Oem inner bit I wouldn’t see why not.

Presumably the original skirts are just double sided on also, but I’m guessing the inner bit would possibly need accesss from underneath the sill to remove the could be a headache?

For what I understand from my research it seems like it is installed over the existing side sills

Still not 100% clear to me though

In my case it was remove and replace, maybe because mine was carbon fibre it won´t fit over original?

Tips not really, as I had the work done by a specialized shop
