Mr. Pink build thread
Purchased my c63s sedan may of 2017, shortly after I bought and installed a set of mikes customs catless downpipes and a eurocharged tune, absolutely loved the gains it made and the noise it was producing, I was content for now.
With the bump in power I decided to focus on some astethtics and got with my rotiform dealer to get me a set of wheels made, I chose a Rotiform LVS 3 piece wheel with a brushed face and polished lips and hardware, coming from the BMW world I can't pass up putting a mesh wheel on anything i own, not very traditional MB of me I know.. With the wheels ordered and being made, I was on the hunt for suspension. I absolutely hated the ride on stock suspension, comfort or sport settings the car rode like ***, I was not a fan.. So I decided I was going to bag it, just like almost every other car I've owned. The only option that was available (and still might be the only option today without piecing together something) was airforce kit made for a base w205. Once received i installed it almost immediately. A few things I noticed was the car rode marginally better than stock, but still pretty harsh; and the kit was poorly designed, the front struts were adjustable in height so I was able to play trail and error and adjust til I got the height and dampening as perfect as it was going to get, the rear however was just wrong wrong wrong from the get go, adjustment on strut length helped with ride quality but the bag itself was far too short and it threw everything off, I was able to have 60-70psi in the front and have a nice ride height but the rear I could air up to 130psi and still hardly clear my tires, a taller bag was needed, or a spacer of some kind was needed to be made. I loved the way th car looked aired out but at ride height the backwards rake seriously killed me, and I had enough of it. Airforce was impossible to communicate with and absolutely no help despite being the first amg car to use their kit. With plans of more power and needing bigger tire as I was spinning badly on the stock sized tires I used since I had to be able to clear them without damaging the quarter panels, I decided it was time to make a switch and sell them. I had the option of KW V3 coilovers or BC Racing ER variant, the KW were $1000 or so more expensive than the BC, but with lifetime warranty and the name I went with the KW. Big mistake IMO and I knew it as soon as they came in; the KW re-uses oem top hats front and rear, and isn't a preload style coilover, height is adjusted by compressing the spring, like a basic set of coilovers. Not the happiest about that but man do they ride extremely nice and handle amazing so it is what it is. The BC Racing is far more adjustable and I'm sure just as nice, but there was no going back so I'll live with it.
The wheels were pulled off temporarily, I threw the stocks back on put some p4s 275 front 295 rear. I was going to sell the rotiforms as I was having a set of BBS RS2 built for the car, the guy building them dropped off the face of the earth after I paid him in full and he sent me a tracking number for the wheels. The tracking never updated, the builder stopped responding to my texts and calls, I opened a paypal dispute about a month after trying to get ahold of the guy and he never responded to that either. I won the dispute since he never responded to paypal and got my money back. I'm pretty sure the guy died or went to jail or something because it was extremely strange situation, the specs were so crazy that I don't think any other car but a c63s sedan would be able to run them, and him and I spent months of back and forth measuring things and figuring out if that wheel could even be built to the spec I needed for the car. Anyways....
I decided on keeping my Rotiform wheels and getting them powdercoated different color and putting them back on the car, they are spec'd to run a 305 rear tire so they will do just fine.
With the extra 4500 in my pocket from the BBS refund that I already considered spent, I decided to use the money for bigger and greater things; a set of Pure 900 turbos....😈 Not seeing much info about them here and not knowing anyone who has a set, I kinda just jumped in not knowing what to expect, the pure website is kind of cryptic and unclear. They claim they are good for 900+ whp but the trans is not. They claim their test car made 750+ whp on 22psi and race gas, I guess we'll see.
I dynod the car as it was on stock turbos, catless downpipes, and the eurocharged tune; the car made (on an apparently low reading dyno) 518whp/550wtq. Powerband was great until 5k or so RPM, as many of you are aware... Past 5k it falls off hard and runs out of breath.
The pure turbos came in the day before Thanksgiving, so I had to wait it out a bit before I could get them installed. Last week I pulled the stocks and installed the pures, what a huge huge difference, the car is an animal as is with the same tune as I had on my stock turbos. On my 295 rear tires, im spinning till around 70-75mph. First and second gear are absolutely useless under WOT with or without traction control on, launch mode still doesn't get the car out of the hole very impressively but it's just the nature of the platform I guess. I asked eurocharged how much boost they set me at on my stock turbos but didn't get a reply, I'm assuming it's 18psi. *** dyno tells me it makes 600ish as it is and pulls hard to 7k rpm.
My options for tuning is let eurocharge retune me and they'll set me at about 22psi (700+ whp is what pure claims it will make here) OR wait for BMS to release jb4 and use that instead. With the on the fly map switching, logging capabilities, and boost by gear; I'm definitely going to go with jb4. Especially as I want to start playing with e85 blends I see it as the best option for us.
I've got some carbon goodies I'm waiting on arriving and I'll get all of that installed and be done for a while....I hope
The total package of this car and platform is incredible, best bang for your money in the price range that it is. I plan on keeping it for a long long time and will be adding and changing things as development progresses
Feel free to ask me any questions, I'm sure I missed some stuff and will be adding and editing to this as I go.

I appreciate the offer but im going to be waiting on BMS for their intakes and eliminate the air boxes completely. Its a shame how limiting these air boxes are on the car, if it didn't taper down so much I'd probably keep them.
