C63 S Welcome Screen
Hey Guys, I have a weird question to ask.
In this video you can see a guy unlocking the car, and when he gets into it, he gets a beautiful welcome animation of the headlights on his Digital Speedometer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTks...ature=youtu.be
Whenever I unlock mine from the key, or with the key in the pocket and just pulling the door handle, as soon as the door opens, instead of the beautiful welcome screen i get a beep and an Image that says do not forget your keys in the car.
How do i get it to do that animation for me? Such a stupid thing but it drives me nuts!!!
I would appreciate any advice!

Do you have analog or digital cluster (just like the video)
Have you tried your other key fob?

I bet it's the plastic cover....lol...
.....seriously, I think your animation is skipping too fast and going right to "don't forget keys." Try sitting in the car with your FOB and just go into accessory mode; it should still animate.

But that dude opens the door too. If you watch the video... I do the same exact thing and get that stupid message...

Lol. I know it is stupid, but it is just a beautiful animation that i would rather see every time i get into the car, than the annoying beep and the message....

Actually same problem here. I just never notice the forget your key message when I enter the car. But yeah, I wish I can see the animation whenever I enter the car.

The animation is awesome - I hope you figure it out.
The message you're getting now makes no sense at all. Why tell you to make sure you don't forget the key when you've just unlocked the car? I'd expect that message to be displayed after you've stopped the engine.

Well the animation is there and it does exist. If you sit in the car and lock yourself with the key, then unlock the car while sitting it it, and instead of opening the door click on the ignition button, you’ll see the animation. It’s the door that is the problem, the second you open it it throws that warning at you. No idea how to get this to work

I am am starting to think this is Some US regulation that they had to implement in the firmware maybe??? Are any of you guys from europe who are having the same issue?

I have tried playing with every single setting in the car and no matter what I do it won’t get rid of that warning.

That's right! I haven't even tested that before! If you open the passenger door there is no warning, and once you press on the Start Button the animation is there! It is only showing that stupid warning with the Drivers door open. Weird!

The animation of the headlights is also on cars with the normal analog gauges, albeit only on the smaller screen between the gauges.. It does it on my 2015 C63S, and my screen shows it. But like described above, I get the "Don't Forget Your Key" message 95% of the time instead. In the nearly 4 years I've had my car I've yet to figure out exactly what triggers which screen.
