Signed and I don't even own a C63s or plan on buying one! LOL
I also sent them some messages on Twitter.
I'm in the market for an E63s next year and I don't want AMG to go down the road of toning down the sound on all of them

Hey guys, we are over 50+ signatures already, and counting.. Once we get to 100 signatures, we will get more tools to push more into mainstream.
I will starting posting to MB Social Media accounts once we hit that number.. so lets keep it up!!!!

Just wanted to update this thread after a recent drive I had. I'm about done with my break in period for my facelift c63s and decided to go for a drive to get that break in mileage done, and decided to try out sport+ mode.
From my obersevation, I've been able to get consistent crackles and pops once I pass 3000rpm in 3rd/4th/5th gear and let off the throttle. I did this for 30 seconds non stop for about 7 sets of 30 seconds where I'd just get over 3000rpm and let off the throttle and let the exhaust crackle and pop, and without fail every single time it crackled and popped.
Downshift crackles and pops were almost as consistent as long as i hit 4.5-5000 rpm into the gear I was shifting into. Any lower than 4000rpm and it wouldn't pop at all.
Will do further testing, but for reference, I'm in Singapore, my build was an end February production

Guys just got my 2019 C63s yesterday and I do love that facelift but was shocked to feel that the exhaust sound different than the 2017 one I traded in . Grant you my car
has 37 miles on and I was wondering about the break in period / miles and how that will affect the sport exhaust sound but after logging on I see that it wasn't my imagination . I tried to read as much as I could and I have been away from the modding scent for quite sometime , but can someone please direct me to the contact information at Mercedes or AMG where I would call or email and add my voice to the concerned owners ? I annoy sure where Isiah is and how I can reach him. Forgive m I am sure it s there somewhere on the forums but any pointers would be greatly appreciated . Regards

According to this story, MB is toning down the volume on all of their AMG models due to EU regulations. Surely this explains it, no?

Bastian Bogenschutz, head of product planning for Mercedes-AMG compact cars, talked to Motoring about how the company approached the upcoming changes.
“It’s coming from the European regulations,” said Bogenschutz. “We can [design specific exhausts] but it’s too expensive for every market to do it, it’s pretty difficult.” The new regulations will effect cars in a number of markets including Australia.

Yes, it explains it. Ten years from now the only sound an AMG car will make is whhhhhirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. And that will even be added artificially by speakers under the hood so idiot pedestrians who cross the street without looking (I see them every day) can hear you. Enjoy your not-as-loud-as-it-used-to-be C63 while you can. Everything is relative.

At certain price brackets it's feasible for car manufacturers to develop specific exhausts for certain markets. It's already happening on six figure plus cars. The refreshed Audi R8 has a different exhaust system in the USA. The Ford GT has a different exhaust in the USA vs. Europe. The McLarren Senna does as well and many other super/hyper cars. We might see it in cars like the GT R from AMG in the future. The person that was interviewed is leading the A-Class AMG development. That's at a price range where it clearly doesn't make business sense, but perhaps for higher trims we might see it. Possibly even in future C63s. Now on the other hand, the continued pressure on downsizing and stricter emissions regulations leading to smaller engines, noise will disappear naturally to some extent, and electrification will kill it altogether.

Just wondering - are you guys who are complaining about the exhaust sounds not getting any cracks and pops at ALL? Even when letting off the throttle above 3k rpm in sport+/race?

Correct. Getting muffled crack pops is very difficult and only at full power past 5 krpm. Very different than the prefacelift.
