2019 fixed the stereo issue?

I recall reading in this forum that many owners of 2018 and pre-facelift C63's felt the car's stereo lacked sufficient bass power.

I was a bit concerned about this issue, as I often enjoy bass-heavy genres of music. I was relieved to find that my 2019 C63s had (in my opinion) more than adequate bass.

Did Mercedes "fix" this issue, or do we all just have different opinions about how much bass is enough?

I've never had an issue with the bass of my stereo, and I listen to bass heavy music as well. The only stereo complaint I have is during a very specific set of circumstances. When I have a YouTube video playing, listening to a podcast or something, voices crackle. I'm not sure if it's a low quality upload or if the stereo just doesn't like normal speaking voices, as I've never has that issue in any other vehicles.

You are right. I also noticed that the bass is much improved in the facelift. Could be better though but it’s now acceptable.

I noticed that you need to adjust audio settings separately for Apple CarPlay versus your typical radio or media. It doesn’t make sense to me but I just recently figured this out...

One thing I wish the system had was a more fine-grained equalizer, but the Buermester system is pretty good even without that. I haven't checked earlier models, but with 2019 I feel there is enough bass.

Other than the wattage difference, does anyone know what are the differences with Burmester 3D system that is offered in the higher end models like E and S class?

IMO the two are pretty much the same with possible exception in the head unit as the equalizer adjustments are not identical. I am not aware of any audio improvement noted in the DOG. Keep in mind that this car uses body panels as bass enclosure/tube (called front bass).
This is an important issue when body repair is done after accidents. Something that a body shop will probably not care about.

I know in the 2019 s63 sedan you lose trunk space because they put subs in the trunk when you get the upgraded sound system. I think besides carbon fiber it was like the only option my dad didn’t get because in his he wanted to fit golf clubs and luggage in the trunk without any issues.

In my 2019 c63s coupe I love the stereo and I blast music if I’m not listening to the engine sing. I do notice if I play music through say YouTube I don’t get as high a quality as through iTunes and that includes everything I stream through iTunes.. sounds great.. but I was listening to a YouTube vid and the quality definitely wasn’t what was advertised on YouTube.

In this car, it is very enticing to listen to the engine and the exhaust note even when driving at just highway speeds when you are coasting with the Dynamic mode set to Sport+ or Race mode. I was doing this even today - low stereo volume just to hear the engine and the exhaust notes. Even with the media volume set higher it is audible, but just more fun this way.

I have a 2018. No issues with bass, or treble or mids for that matter.

Just got a 2017 anmd am a bit underwhelmed with the stereo. It's sounds alright but a bit lacking in the bass. My Acura TL had a MUCH better stereo, although this cars stereo is better than my previous w204 c63.

I have a 2019 and if anything I feel there is too much bass by default. I had to change the EQ

Yeah, after reading all of the negative things about the pre-facelift models lacking adequate bass, I had mentally prepared myself for the worst. Like you said, the 2019 has almost too much bass. Certain bass-heavy tracks (mostly rap) are about enough to rattle my teeth out of my head. I can't imagine anyone genuinely thinking the 2019 model has insufficient bass power, unless they want a system that can be heard/felt across the parking lot.

Cant speak to 2019+ but my 2017 Burmester bass is pathetic. Im no audiophile but Ive had Sharper Image radios with more bass.
