OK first off, congrats. But secondly (and unrelated to you, personally)...WHAT THE HECK? How are you getting a 2020 just 1 week after mine? Do you actually see a ship assignment and confirmation it's on a boat? AMG USA said 2020s will not ship until Q4 at the earliest...this is stoking up the fires again. Sheesh.

Can you show us the NetStar screenshot?

I knew you would pipe in. I've seen your delivery problems unfold, my condolences.

I haven't asked for a NetStar screenshot. The dealer emails when there is a major update.

I haven't been in a big rush because I have my 2016 (which has been flawless).

Dasani - If you don't mind me asking, are you in Houston and did you order from MB Greenway?

Also congrats to OP on the car. I would take that estimated delivery with a big grain of salt. That's probably based on standard estimates, however, the 2020s have to be released first. The 2019s started to arrive at the ports around the same time, but weren't delivered to customers until around November if I remember correctly. They were just sitting at the VPC waiting to be released.

EDIT: Hopefully, though this means we can start ordering the CF aero design side blades soon, so I can get my car squared away and look like it was supposed to from the beginning.

Just some reshuffling of options. Things like the 64 color interior lighting are standard now and they recoded all the options. The only new thing is an advanced alarm system, which I believe notifies one's phone if the car alarm goes off and they fixed the screw up with the CF packages in combination with the aero package where with the 2019 the side blades are gloss black instead of CF. Something I still need to get sorted out with mine by hopefully ordering the 2020 side blades and replace my gloss black ones that it came with from the factory.

Thanks!

I actually had the side sills in cf (from cks performance) and went back to gloss black, looks better imo

No worries, I'm taking the laid back approach. It shows up when it shows up.

I don't actually mind the gloss black look to be honest. One has to be rather close up to the car to even make out the carbon fiber bits as it is. The issue is more that I paid for something that wasn't on the car. I'm still debating if I should push for a credit or get the CF blades.

My 2020 is in production, luckily no back orders on any of the options that we know of. I'd guess it'll be at the dealer end of September or early October. Basically got the car fully loaded.

This is the right approach, but good luck! I hope it does come as scheduled, because this is exactly what I said back in November '18 all the way through April '19. Did not make a big deal in December when it was delayed to February and then in February when it was delayed to April. All the while thinking "no big deal; it can't be long now." Now, 4 months and 2-3 more delays later, it has been a pain in my backside.

I'd say the thing you have going for you is that if it has in fact been built and shipped and will hang out at the VPC for a few months, there's a much better chance of it being delivered to the dealer without drama, since my issues were mostly during production...

What color is your car? One issue for me was my car is selenite grey so cf did not contrast same as black gloss

Obsidian black, so at the moment they are essentially body color. The carbon bits such as the A-wing are a bit of a grayish contrast until you get closer and see the CF. I think it might still look good if the side blades are CF in combination with black.

My 2020 car was produced 7/1 and shipped 8/8 (today) on the Gracious Ace. ETA to U.S. port is 8/17 and dealership indicated that the car would be delivered end of August. Once again I am doubtful that I'll pick up my car this early, but at least there's movement.

Thanks. I think so, too. It'll complement the side mirrors. Here's a shot in better light. I definitely think the side blades in CF would add to the character.

Then you would have to wait for the ship to pass through the Panama canal and would not have seen your car until the end of September.

See that? There IS a positive.

I got a call from my SA today telling me that my car is in Baltimore, but now as we suspected he says the car wont be released from the VPC until october. Waiting on an updated netstar screen shot from him.

ordered 2020 c63s coupe
Greetings from another new guy:
I have been haunting this site for awhile now, and want to thank everyone for all that I have learned here - and hope to continue to do so.
Also, my apologies to all that have had such a bad time getting their cars. I ordered my 2020 C63S coupe, selenite gray with the red pepper black nappa interior, very much like Dasani's) at the end of May. It was produced June 29th, is on a boat right now, and a realistic arrival date is early September, again very close to Dasani's. And we are both in Texas, makes me wonder if we share the same dealer. Again, sympathies to all who have not been so lucky.
This my first MB, coming from a series of modded cars like a GT500, CTS-V coupe and a ZL1 Camaro, which have all run at the Texas Mile, so would really appreciate anyone who has run a C63 in a mile anywhere to let me know how it went, mods, etc. as I plan to run this one as soon as I can get it set up. Again, thanks to everyone on this site for making it so great.
