PADDLE SHIFTER ADD ON

Hello guys, does anyone really recommend adding paddle shift extensions ? I feel the OEM ones are too short for track driving and replacing the factory ones feels like a hassle, but I've read no matter how good of a quality the glue on one have, they eventually fall off. is this true ? people who have them on.

thanx peeps

honestly i wouldnt go with the extensions.. saw a car that had them and it neither looked nor felt good. If youre gonna do it then do it properly imo

I've had them on two of my cars, including my C63s. Work perfect for my needs. I don't like being in a big sweeping turn and having to search for the position of the small paddles. Especially helpful in the C63s as you don't have the alternate choice of a floor stick selector (really miss this feature.) I've used both the metal and carbon fiber type paddles. The carbon fiber ones have a slight flex at the paddle ends in their feel but the shape can have a bend to help secure your touch. My black carbon fiber extensions look great with the black carbon fiber dash trim. I found a good price/product on amazon. I never had a problem with the adhesive tape releasing. Its usually very strong 3M tape. The problem would be if you ever wanted to remove them.

These look like perfect replacements. How easy are they to fit?

I installed the red anodized extensions. These match my red pepper interior. They fit nicely as they press on. I like the custom look.

Peel the red protector film off and stick them on the rear side of your paddles. Do it under warm temperature or very slightly warm the sticky surface with a hair dryer.

Many photos fit to your steering wheel?

Ed - You appear to have the 2019 post facelift steering wheel, but the pre-facelift dash? Not seen that before.

Fair enough. I hadn't realised that the US didn't get the full digital dash as standard with the face-lift like the rest of the world, but only as an option. Odd decision by Mercedes that one I'd say.

Sorry but I'm not familiar with configurations that might have occurred with other countries. It did not occur to me that other configurations might exist for the 2019 model year, and it does make one wonder why?

I was asking about the replacement paddles that were linked (that I quoted), not the stick on extensions.
